    xbox one controller - latency


    Hi, i have bought a new controller .. and just change to times ... because i thought it had an hardware problem.

    but i read a lot of user with same "bad rasponse" from controller .. so i think is a software problem.

    i use it on windows 10, with wireles adapter, woth FIFA 17:

    - RB button mean not work (not always my player "run", i need to press and repress)

    - all buttons have latency response

    - usb connection, not work, (i try to chang 2 cable)

    is there a fix (not classic guide on site, because no solve this problem, and i just update by "accessry xbox" app in win10)

    this controller have a price about 70€ ... is not possibile that not work proprely ... (hardware/driver problem)

    Was wondering what is the best 10 feet cable for the Xbox one controller? Any suggestions will be appreciated thanks..Looking to use one for when really playing hard in the game then i will get zero latency. Thanks

    You can still use controllers connected directly to the Xbox One instead of PC as well... in case you're worried about latency between the PC and Xbox.

    The dashboard latency test is meaningless. It has nothing to do with your gaming experience. You will not be playing games connected to the latency test server.

    The Xbox does not control your latency. Latency is purely determined by the location of the game server you are connecting to, and the route it takes to get there.

    Try to play on servers in your own region if you are worried about latency.

    Hi BigWhiskey91,

    I can confirm that the HDMI input has approx 170 milli-seconds of latency. On top of a typical display lag, you're looking at over 200ms of overall latency.

    I have my xbox 360 going through it now and it's un-playable.

    FYI ... Method of measurement : I modified an xbox 360 controller with a light sensor and created an xna app that measures display lag by flashing the display and waiting for a response from the modified controller.

    Xbox one is great ... but stick with passive content on the hdmi input.
