Xbox one Controller Joysticks swapped automatically

So I have recently been using a keyboard and mouse on my account on Xbox while offline (As in off the internet entirely) and decided to switch back to a controller recently. I have never used this controller on the Xbox prior to this but have tested it
on other Xbox's in my home and come to the conclusion this is only on my main account on one Xbox. For some odd reason the joysticks switched mapped positions and now the left joystick controls aim and the right one controls movement. It only does this on
one account (I have used it on other accounts on my Xbox) but it was not setup to do this and when I reset the controller configuration. Does anyone know a fix to this problem?

What if the Xbox has been offline for a period of about 2 weeks will that affect it at all when I try this? Or do I need to reconnect it to the internet before I attempt this?

Hello!

You should be able to change these settings in "Xbox Accessories" App. There should also be an option to set them back to defaults.

Thank you for coming to the forums today, I'd be happy to help.

So it seems that you've narrowed the issue down to your profile on one specific Xbox. I recommend removing your profile from this Xbox and then go ahead and do a

hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox.

Once the Xbox is back on, re-add the profile and link your profile to that controller when it asks. Then go into the Xbox Accessories app and go into the configuration and the test lab to make sure the analog sticks are back to normal.

Having the same issue. Right joystick only works in test mode and when magnifier is on. I can actually go into the controller settings and “swap sticks” and then the right joystick works but not the left. So clearly the controller is working properly and not damaged or faulty. Feels like its some sort of software/setting issue. Same problem on (4) separate controllers and (2) different xbox consoles….
