Xbox one Controller issues

I am an individual who takes great care of all of his Xbox hardware and various accessories and when these products that I spend countless dollars on start to lose there function capabilitys it becomes frustrating especially when Xbox sees fit to charge
me to replace a defective product. My Xbox controller has been disconnecting without reconnecting or syncing for sometime now which alone is a pain because you have to reset the entire system but now slowly but surely the buttons on my controller are just
not working. It started with the Y button which wasn't a big deal because of the remap capabilities but now my start button has also given up which is very annoying because you cannot remap the menu button. As a person who has never strayed from Microsoft
to Sony or any other rival company since the dawn of the original Xbox and Halo Combat Evolved I feel that these errors and glitches should not go ignored and be silenced with the release of yet another more expensive controller or system.

Sorry you're having issues with your controllers. Does the issue go away after you hard reset? Have you tested these controllers in another console by chance, or can you test the controllers in another console. I'd be curious to see if this is console related,
or controller related. Also, make sure your controllers have the latest firmware by following this link. The disconnects shouldn't
happen often, but even my controllers sometimes reboot mid gameplay, but it's few and far between. The buttons however shouldn't stop functioning unless there was a hardware issue somewhere.

 

In addition to what Hydro said, are you in addition part of the preview program? Has this happened since purchase of the controller or just recently? Can you also provide us with what controller you are using, whether it is the standard controller, Elite
controller or a LAB controller etc.

It's just your typical Xbox one controller 3.5mm jack. Have tried on multiple systems and still wound up with the same results . It also always disconnects and won't resync to the Xbox. I don't know what to do. $60+ is something that I just don't have right
now to spend on a new controller. It is rather depressing It also is not new enough for the warranty so it's a no go in that regard as well. Sigh...

 

If the controller has been updated, and it has the same issues with multiple consoles, then there is likely something wrong with the controller itself. Per that your only option would be to purchase a new one if you were outside your 90 day warranty period.
