Xbox One Controller issues

Ok so I've had this Xbox One since late June of this year. It's played just fine up to recently. My Xbox One controller will act like it disconnects from the console. The light starts blinking, and or it stops functioning. As you can imagine this is a serious
frustration when I'm trying to play a game. It does this on the dashboard as well. I tried swapping batteries. Plugging the controller into the console. I've tried googling the problem and all I found was something about a delay or lag and setting your TV
to game mode. If this is still my case I cannot find a way to do that on this TV. The sticker says HD Gaming... so it should, right? It's an Apex with three HDMI ports and says HDTV.

All I could find as far as picture HDMI modes go was Video and Graphic... Under setup there is no other modes to use and the advanced button is grayed out... Picture mode has Dynamic, movie, Power Saving, Personal, and standard...

I should also note that whenever I use my Xbox One controller on PC it works just fine without a problem or any sort of lag or disconnect issues...

Someone please help me with this.

Just recently had this happen. Could be a number of things. If the controller itself isn't having problems, it may (worst case) be a hardware issue with your console. The only solution is replacing it. Go through all the steps they have on the page for the
issue; if none work, hope your warranty is still good.

Did you try to use a usb cable to upgrade your controller when connected to the xbox one in the back.

my Xbox one has had the controller disconnect problem from the very first moment it came out of it's box, I got it about 5-6 weeks ago, it's happens at random times.

sometimes few days no disconnects and other days it can disconnect a few times.

I've put it down to either network issues or something interfering with the signal ?

I hope it does not mean it is an hardware issue, I would of thought after the Xbox 360's red ring of death issues they would of made sure all the hardware is reliable this time around ? or are people just meant to accept this is the normal ? I'm not having
a dig I'm just asking..

I have read quite a few people who suffer from the disconnect controller so it's not like it's a rare problem ...

Thanks for the reply and update on the issue. I recommend to try the following article:
Xbox One Wireless Controller Solution.

If the issue persists, try a different controlller. This will help isolate the issue between the console or controller.
Try this link if the issue persists with the one controller: Replace your controller below to check your warranty and
initiate an exchange.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

@P3rf3ctDay Having the same issue with my controller. The controller I am having issues with is one from Play and Charge set.

Seems like the Xbox One controllers are not up to par with the Xbox 360 controllers. They just seems cheaper and flimsy.

For hardware issues, we can only recommend replacing the controller.

Is this happening on only one Xbox One, or both of them? as it could be an issue with the console losing connection to the controller as oppose to there being an issue with the controller.

Do you have any other Xbox One controllers? If these work, but your other controller does not then the issue can only be with this particular controller. Windows 20H2 does not have any compatibility issues with Xbox controllers, my Xbox One, Series X and 360 controllers still work fine.
