Xbox One Controller Issues

Hey all, I was just having a fun time playing Xbox the other day, when I realized I should update my controller. I correctly attached the micro USB to my controller and pressed update, and then the most amazing thing happened! My controller shut off and
won't turn back on. It doesn't matter how it is being powered, ie: batteries, play and charge kit etc. still no power. I was ever so happy when I couldn't get my $300.00 Scuf controller to power on, so I did what any sensible person would do and tried it with
a factory Xbox One controller, and it did the same exact thing. I wasn't so worried about my crappy stock Xbox One controller, but I was upset that my Scuf wasn't working. So my consensus is this. when I pressed update on the controller, it wiped the info
from it before it could even start installing the new code, and now I have a broken computer. My question for the forums: Is there a way to re upload the coding onto the controller, or plug them into a computer and somehow fix them.

Wow, at $300 for a controller I can understand why you'd be upset. I was taking a look at the website for these controllers and they look like they're either 3rd party or modded controllers. Because of this we cannot help at the website here and if they
are 3rd party or modded then even phone support cannot help as those controllers are not covered under any Xbox warranty.

What I would recommend is to contact Scuf to see what they can recommend for you.

Thanks for the reply and update on the issue. I recommend to try the following article:
Xbox One Wireless Controller Solution.

If the issue persists, try a different controlller. This will help isolate the issue between the console or controller.
Try this link if the issue persists with the one controller: Replace your controller below to check your warranty and
initiate an exchange.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

@P3rf3ctDay Having the same issue with my controller. The controller I am having issues with is one from Play and Charge set.

Seems like the Xbox One controllers are not up to par with the Xbox 360 controllers. They just seems cheaper and flimsy.

For hardware issues, we can only recommend replacing the controller.

Is this happening on only one Xbox One, or both of them? as it could be an issue with the console losing connection to the controller as oppose to there being an issue with the controller.

Do you have any other Xbox One controllers? If these work, but your other controller does not then the issue can only be with this particular controller. Windows 20H2 does not have any compatibility issues with Xbox controllers, my Xbox One, Series X and 360 controllers still work fine.
