Xbox one controller issues on pc

I bought a new Xbox one controller, and had issues while installing it.

Until now I used a Xbox 360 controller, on windows 8 64 bit, for steam Uplay and origin games.

Solved issues:

When I paired the new Xbox one controller with bluetooth none of the games recognised it.

I followed How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC guid, but when I connected the new controller to my pc using
micro usb, the device manager didn't recognised it, it was showing as 'controller' with error 'can't find drivers for this device', when I tried to search drivers automatically it didn't find a match, I tried to uninstall the device driver and search for new
devices but then it appeared as 'unknown device' with error code 43 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems'.

Solution:

I've downloaded
drivers manually, installed them and device manager recognised the controller. then re-paired my device with bluetooth.

Current issue:

Origin games recognise my device with strange buttons layout, I can't use it like that,

Uplay and steam games don't recognise the controller at all.

Should I try update my controller? how can I do that with windows 8?

Is the controller an Xbox One controller or an Xbox 360 controller, and have you followed the

Xbox One PC controller guide, or the
Xbox 360 controller guide?

Xbox One Wireless Controller" . If you continue to have a problem connecting via Bluetooth, I would be curios if the controller works with your PC using the USB port, "How

Which Steam games don't recognise your device? And what Origin games are you having problems with?

Fractured but whole on Uplay, FIFA 17 on origin.

I don’t remember what I tried on steam but I barley use steam anyway.

 

Not all PC games support controllers, just because your running Windows by Microsoft with a game and an Xbox Controller does not mean the controller will work by default.

If your controller is supported, you may need to enable it on the options. The same would be true of FIFA 17.

The driver had to be downloaded because Windows 8 pre-dates the launch of Xbox One, hence it has no built in driver support.

Some games work straight away with Xbox One and 360 controllers, while some have to be enabled to work. A few weeks ago I tried Pray on Steam and had to manually enable to my Xbox One controller in the game.

 

Fractured but whole officially Supported Peripherals on PC include Microsoft XBOX ONE Controller.

FIFA 17 should work fine with this controller too.

Both are controller enabled in settings, and I didn't had any problems with the 360 controller.
