    Hi!

    I have an Xbox One controller (model 1537) connected to my PC with wire (Xbox One controller for Windows), and I have serious problems after installing the new cumulative update (KB3140743). Some games (like F1 2015) warn me about that the controller is not
    compatible (or broken), some games don't, but almost any of them "lag" or shutter, the input is weird and they are just unplayable. After disconnecting the controller however everything is fine.

    So I started to figure out what cloud be wrong, did the usual driver uninstall reinstall, older version and so on but nothing worked. Than I tried it on my Windows 8.1 VHD installation and the controller worked there just fine, with the same games. Than I installed
    a Windows 10 version 1511 and tried it without any updates (so Build 10586.0), and worked fine as well. Than I installed all the updates (up to Build 10586.122), and the problem was back again. So I uninstalled the update from programs and features (KB3140743
    only), and magically everything once again was fine.

    I read about this update did bring "improved support for devices", so I guess something might have messed up there.

    Also, the controller's firmware is up to date (according to the xbox accessories app).

    Some help, or workaround would be really appreciated, because as known, I can't prevent Windows 10 from installing this update.

    And I do like Windows 10, so going back to 8.1 is not a solution for me.

    Microsoft Sudoku crashes just after start. First time I was able to enter xbox login credentials. I'm on Win10 1511 (Build 10586.679).

    Xbox One Controller vibrate gets stuck

    I have exactly the same problem and managed to find a solution using the same workaround. In order to keep my PC in good state, I just disabled all updates in WU because as you said, there is no way to block a certain update despite Windows apparently installed
    new updates just after I uninstalled the KB3140743 and did not add it again so Windows might exclude the update from the one programmed to be installed when you uninstall it.

    I would really appreciate at least just a confirmation from Microsoft to let us know you are aware of this issue which block for sure a lot of people who are not english friendly and not able to see this post or just other lazy players.

    PC "freezes" after disconnecting/shutting off XBox One Controller (Win 10) + Wireless Adapter

    This bug seems to have appeared after the March 1 KB3140743 and KB3139907 updates for Windows 10 Ver 1511 and still causes the crash. Uninstalling KB3140743 update will probably help...

    I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE!!!

    When my controller turns off it causes this exact this to happen!

    This bug seems to have appeared after the March 1 KB3140743 and KB3139907 updates for Windows 10 Ver 1511.

    Uninstalling the KB3140743 update would temporarily help get rid of the bug but Microsoft better solve the problem soon because hey... it's embarrassing for them.

    Xbox One controller broken by Windows Anniversary Update

    getting this on a couple of PC's with bluetooth 4.0 (asus usb-bt400 dongle, fyi) on the new s controller

    Was not affecting my surface pro 3 running the insider preview build of win10 pro.

    Was affecting other ppc running win10 pro on release build.

    3rd PC running win 10 home also affected.

    tested all 3 with same bluetooth dongle. surface pro not affected and working as expected.

    Updated both other machines to the insider preview build 14393.10 and connected everything back up again.

    Issue is now only affecting the windows 10 home PC. Suspect that the issue is fixed in 14393.10 for win10 pro, but not home.

    Xbox wireless adapter for Windows 10

    I'm having a Win10 just as suggested and not an Xbox One console...why should I? It's blatantly stupid to require the console for an update. By the way we are having issues with getting the adapter driver to install. We're not even at the point of connecting
    a controller.
