Xbox One Controller input stops registering after recent firmware update

Did a bit more digging for resources.

Have you made sure all windows updates are completed?

If the updates don't work, check out this article about reverting the controller's firmware after the last updated and do follow the steps in the original response to report this so that Team Xbox can continue investigating.

Please report this as a problem using the Windows feedback hub (Win key + G) and include "Xbox forum" in the title for us to find the report quickly. Include as much information in the report as possible for Team Xbox to investigate.

Apologies but you are not understanding me.

The scenario goes like this:

Purchased xbox series controller;

Connected and updated series controller on laptop;

Attempted to play a game on laptop;

Controller input is not present;

In some games the controller doesn't appear in the setup;

In some games the controller registers but the inputs are incorrect, sometimes the z-axis registers as a button (x button) and not a movement;

Connected controller to tablet and mobile phone and controller input is fine;

Is the problem my games or my controller firmware not syncing with the games?

Is there a fix?

There was a firmware update recently. Update controller firmware from Settings.

If you haven't already Update your controller firmware. There was a new release of firmware update recently.
