Xbox One Controller Home button stopped working

This is probably due to the update and Microsoft will need to release another update to fix it.

Holding the power button for a power cycle seemed tonwork. It has to be software related because my limited edition halo controller was doing it so both the other is a older one as well. But they both worked after a power dydle. Not sure how long this will
last though. Here's hoping!!!

Try this it has worked for some. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once
it is back up and operational test for results.

This happened to me too. Try unplugging the power cord from your Xbox while it's still on, this should fix it.

OK strange new development/observation

it appears if i plug the controller into the xbox via usb, than still the home button doesn't work, HOWEVER if i remove the batteries making the controller dependent on the xbox for power then the HOME BUTTON WORKS IMMEDIATELY! while plugged into the xbox
with a working home button if i put the batteries back into the controller, without hitting anything, the home button stops working again.

and remember the controller will turn the xbox on via home button even while not connected by USB...

what in the world is up with this controller?!

I purchased in November 16 (Taiwan).

I asked the customer service, he said repair needs 2-3 weeks.

I have the same problem. My controller is fine but the Home button won't work. and my another controller is work. I try to update the controller, but it's not working.

I've been having this problem ever since the last update, I have to turn my Xbox off and then back on to get it to work. How can you implement a update and break the way my controller functions?
