Xbox One Controller Home button stopped working

My Xbox One Controller home button just doesn't seem like it wants to work. It worked Saturday but is not working now. If I plug it up with a usb cable it'll come on but the home button still won't work. It's been working on and off but not working more
than anything. Any fix to this problem?

my Xbox one home button on the controller has stopped working. I can't get to the dashboard from inside a game nor can I turn on my Xbox via my home button. I have no idea how ithis hiss happened

Can you try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down? Hopefully that will solve the issue.

 

I have the same problem. My controller is fine but the Home button won't work. I know it's not my console because I can home from the app on my phone but when I try the button on the controller it does nothing. Maybe I need to buy another controller?

 

I've been having this problem ever since the last update, I have to turn my Xbox off and then back on to get it to work. How can you implement a update and break the way my controller functions?

 

Jay - the console can store up a cache that will sometimes hamper use of other things including the controller. Holding the power button clears the cache to enable things to start working properly again. Please give that a try.

 

I have the same problem. My controller is fine but the Home button won't work. and my another controller is work. I try to update the controller, but it's not working.

im - if you're saying that one controller works but the other doesn't then please try the power cycle again but this time when the console is off unplug everything from it and let it sit for 5 minutes.

If that doesn't work then there may be an issue with one of your controllers.

 

I purchased in November 16 (Taiwan).

I asked the customer service, he said repair needs 2-3 weeks.

I ended up having to send it in for a free replacement. They received my defective one on the 10th and I received the new one today.

 

I sent back to the store, check to make sure that the fault product, so they gave me a new one.

 

The same thing is happening to me.
