xbox one controller/headset adapter not working

I have turtle beaches that I use for xbox one and 360 and recently it has stopped working for the one. I checked all the cords and it works fine for the 360 but when i go to plug it into my xbox one it doesnt work. The light for the mute button wont show
up. The only sound i can ever hear out of my headset is the static if i plug my controller into a usb charger. I cant talk either. I have plugged everything in and out and updated the controller. Nothing is working please HELP!!!! i think its the controller
has anyone else had this kinda issue. i even bought a new headset adapter and that one doesnt work either

My adapter for my headset is not working

Have you tried updating your Headset Adapter ? To do so, look at this :
support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter.

When you say it's not working, you mean that you can't hear anything ? Have your tried your headset with another device ?

Turtle Beach X12's on Xbox One?

Do you have a xbox headset adapter plugged into your XO controller? That is the only way to get third party headsets working with the Xbox one. It all works (audio and voice) through the xbox one controller not your television. The adapter can be bought
for $24.95 at the Microsoft store.

If your Xbox one Controller doesn't work or gets disconnected after you plug in your Stereo Headset Adapter, unplug your adapter,
and then update your controller without the adapter. After the controller is updated, insert your Stereo Headset Adapter back into the controller.

You may need to re-update the controller to work properly with the adapter. Just plug the controller into the Xbox and follow these steps:

Are you using an Xbox One Controller? If so, try this

It works for the 360 Turtle Beach Headsets.

Turtle Beach has said any headsets that work with 360 will work with Xbox one if you have the adapter. They also said that adapter is coming sometime around June 2014. That said I can make you an adapter out of your Xbox One headset that came with it for
$25. You will be able to use your headset and the controls where it plugs into the controller. Message me on xbox if you want one.
