Xbox one controller has continued to disconnect since using Xbox One Headset Adapter

This post if for anyone using Astro headsets with the Xbox One Headset Adapter.

To cancel out any troubleshooting tips I have l already done the following:

• Updated the Controller and headset using the Xbox One USB
• I have completed the Astro Firmware update 5003 3/20/14 for the Mix Amp Pro
• Made sure the batteries are at least 3/4 full

I am encountering the following problems

• After periods of long game play my controller with shut off during mid game play. Almost immediately my Titan gets destroyed
  
• Low mic volume. *Although moving the mic close to my mouth enhances the chat performance I am still low.
  

The big issue I would like to resolve is the problem with my controller freezing/locking up during gameplay. I know for a fact that the headset adapter is what causes my controller to freeze and shut off which gives a weird buzzing sound before it happens
so I know I am *** as soon as I hear the sound.

The bottom Line: For those who use either Astro or Turtle beach headsets have you experienced this problem and where you able to find a fix.

In the meantime I will deal with it until another update is released hopefully in the near future.

Xbox one will not power with updated controller with MS Stereo headset plugged in

Xbox one will not power with updated controller with MS Stereo headset plugged in. Once I disconnect MS Stereo headset and adapter it powers on syncs just fine. Then I plug in the headset and adapter everything works. But if i power off controller or xbox
one it won't sync with the headset and adapter plugged in. Ive updated controller. It works fine with old chat headset. It works fine plugged in usb.

 

Are you using regular batteries, rechargeable batteries or a charger (like a Nyko, Energizer, etc)?

The battery meter isn't accurate with many after market batteries and chargers. I have the Nyko and it is not even close to showing my true battery power so you may have a dead/low controller although it still shows a charge on the meter.

Or it may be the update. My controllers no longer turn on my Xbox. I have to start it at the box and then turn on the controller so there appears to be some issues with the recent update.

 

Thanks Randver for the response. But I am using regular batteries. I have a 30 pack of them that I just switch out. However this disconnect is happening between 30-45 minutes every time and to test that theory as soon as it disconnects the first time Ill
go ahead and put fresh batteries in because I wanted to see if it was the batteries. But seeing how 30-45 minutes is not enough to reduce the batteries I am guessing this is no a battery issue.

But I have done some research and apparently Xbox is releasing a firmware update later this month that will address issues with disconnecting controllers and headset adapter audio problems, the update is already in the beta phase and should reach consoles
soon.

I'm in the beta and just got the update yesterday morning. That's when my controllers stopped turning on my Xbox.

If that's fixing something I hate to see what happens when they break something ;p

 

When I first got the X1, the controller would disconnect and the light would blink until hitting "A". This problem went away after the first "preview". It's back again with the update to the preview. They'll get it right eventually...I hope. Lol.

I just updated my controllers today and they seem to be fine so far - in fact better than fine; I can actually hear through the headset better than before. It's practically twice as loud.
