Xbox One controller half functionality.

I have owned my Xbox less than a month. Three days after I had my Xbox, my controller stopped working on dashboard. It would only allow me to shut down the console or turn off the controller. But it would also work it I used the kinect to open an app. I
tried for a couple hours to no avail. I had to do a hard reset. At that time my controllers were not up to date.

Last night I was playing co-op campaign on Halo: MCC . I was on the third mission (CE) with my friend and I was standing on a ledge. I was throwing grenades down to the bottom. When I backed up so I wouldn't die my controller stopped functioning. I couldn't
use anything except the Xbox button. On the dashboard I could use the controller normally. I told my friend and he killed me thinking I got stuck in a glitch or hung up on a wall. It didn't work even after I respawned. I went to my settings to check everything
and it seemed to be working fine. I made the mistake of trying to resync the controller during game play. This was the wrong move. My controller stopped working altogether. I was using the kinect for everything at this point. At the amusement to my friends
they listened to me curse at, sweet talk, apologize and nearly break my Xbox one. I tried to launch my game because I was stuck on dashboard. It would not reopen my game. I tried my second controller as well, but that also didn't respond. I eventually had
to do a hard reset to my Xbox. My controllers are all up to date. I'm confused.

Audio CD Player & Media Remote

I have the same issue. Please add Xbox one media remote functionality to the CD player app. I hate having to go to Xbox one controller for this basic functionality. CD player is a media component...thanks

 

Suggestion for Xbox One

I loved the XBOX 360 controller layout, and it's epic functionality, I really don't see why Microsoft doesn't import that over to the XBOX ONE controller.
