Xbox one controller/ game issues

Hello

recently ive found only on the dashboard the A button is unresponsive. I hold down the A button for a good 5 seconds before it actually opens the widget im pressing. It still makes the noise and can see the widget highlighted but just doesnt open. The A
button works fine in any game i play.

Hey there james da gamer!

Sorry to hear about the controller issue! Let's start by power cycling the Xbox One console. This will clear the Xbox One console's system cache. Follow the steps below:

Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the unit is fully powered off.

Unplug the power supply from the back of the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Plug the power back in and power on.

Post back and let us know if this works or not so we can help you get this issue sorted!

I've been having the same issue since the last update (2 weeks ago). This is NOT a Windows 10 nor Xbox ONE controller's issue, because I can perfectly use 4 controllers to control both Steam games and Xbox ONE Windows 10 App. The controllers work fine with
the app, but one I start streaming, my Xbox only detects the first controller.

So, no power-cycling nor controller's firmware update is going to fix that.

I hope they acknowledge this issue and fix it in the next Xbox ONE update.

Is this within a game? If so, this issue could be due to the specific game and whether they support the Xbox controllers.

If you try a game that states it supports the Xbox 360 controller, you should have better luck using the Xbox One controller and having an easier time configuring it.

If so, that makes it an issue with that particular game.
