Xbox one controller frequently disconnects

My Xbox one controller is rapidly disconnecting from my Xbox. I tried updating the firmware on the Xbox. I’ve replaced the batteries. Still happening. The light on the controller stays on when it’s disconnected. And then will flash a single time when it reconnects. However, it only stays connected for anywhere between 1 and 30 seconds. It started happening yesterday after operating normally for about 30 minutes. Now I’m unable to do anything for more than 15 to 30 seconds before it disconnects.

Anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue?
