Xbox One controller freezing and disconnectign when headset adaptor plugged in

Every time I plug in my xbox one headset adaptor I am able to play and then at some point it will disconnect and freeze. Once I restart the remote it works but now the headset isn't working. I already updated the remotes is there anything else that can be
done???

Xbox Wireless Adapter for Win10 PC: No rumble or headset audio support?

Hey everyone,

Audio worked out of the box for me. A USB Audio Device appeared when I plugged the Stereo Headset adaptor into the controller AND plugged headphones into the adaptor.

This is using a standard Xbox One controller (i.e. not an elite) via the wireless adaptor with v20.24.34.491 drivers.

Others Cannot Hear Me on XBox One Headset

Did you update the controller with the headset adaptor plugged in?? Make sure the adaptor is plugged into the controller, and the charge cable is plugged into the controller and console.then,, go to Settings, and then click on Devices and Accessories..
Find your controller icon and click on it, then select update.. Once it is done updating,, you can exit, and then, I always restart my console, and then try the headset and see if that works for you..

Does the issue occur across multiple controllers, or just one? Do you have a friend with a headset adapter you can test with your controllers?

if I'm not mistaken, this headset comes with a headset adaptor for the Xbox One controller, correct? If so, you can continue to use the headset + adaptor on the controllers which now have a 3.5mm port as they still have the port for the headset adapter to
plug into.

The March update, is for compatibility with the new headset adaptor. From what I've read, when you plug the adaptor into the controller it will prompt you to update the controller, which requires a usb/plug and charge cable.
