    Xbox One Controller for Windows 10 - Turning Off Onscreen Keyboard


    If you press DOWN on the LEFT JOYSTICK, a on screen keyboard pops up. I hit this by accident when playing games. I have Windows 10 setup to TURN OFF ALL ONSCREEN keyboards, but yet, it still comes up. This is from the Xbox Accessories Software I am pretty
    sure because the Mouse/Keyboard does not affect this On Screen Keyboard. I need this disabled for the Xbox One Controller for Windows. How do I do it? Thanks

    Xbox 360 controller and chat pad support in windows 10 and Xbox app for win 10. Driver for keyboard, and mouse pointer from game pad to work in windows 10. Include Wired and Wireless drivers. Documentation, Software on / off Power switch super helpful. Check
    box to turn on / off keyboard and mouse emulation.

    I would like to use Windows 10 and the Xbox App to play games on the big screen TV. I have a home theater PC connected to the tv.

    The Xbox 360 controller works on PC with Xbox App. The keyboard and headphones do not.

    It would be most useful to have full windows support for the Xbox 360 controller keyboard.

    I could browse the internet using 360 keyboard and Cortana with headset microphone.

    I would like to type in Wordpad, and Edge web browser.

    Full mouse and key board support.

    Sell 360 pc controller dongle again, or verify if the new dongle stick works with 360 controller keyboard.

    Support wired and wireless again in Windows 10.

    Yes you can disable the on screen keyboard. Get the Windows 10 App, you can turn it off from there. It's under "settings" and under the headline "Typing on my Xbox One."

    The problem is that the onscreen keyboard or virtual keyboard will not appear whenever I try to search, enter passwords, or text the virtual keyboard never appears the cursor flashes a few times then stops the controller is completely unresponsive the only responsive button on the controller is the home button in the center of the controller which pulls up an onscreen menu that I still can't navigate because no other buttons on the controller are responsive but like I previously said this is only temporary but as soon as I need to pull up the virtual keyboard it happens all over again my virtual keyboard will not appear onscreen

    you can disable the on screen keyboard. Get the Windows 10 App, you can turn it off from there. under "settings" and under the headline "Typing on my Xbox One."

    Are you using the keyboard to turn on the console, or a regular controller?

    My suggestion is to try using a regular Xbox One Controller (any should do, standard, Elite Series 1 or 2) to turn on the console, launch the game, then turn off the controller, and connect the keyboard and mouse after the controller has been turned off,
    you should then be prompted to select an account to use the keyboard and mouse with for the game.

    If you have windows 10 64 bit please choose the windows 7 64 bit version as that's compatible.
    Tested, no luck. Still behaving like a mouse ...
