XBOX One Controller Flashes & Disconnects, Then i Disconnect From Online - HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Hi All!

Basically this problem only started happening over the last week or so. I pre-ordered FIFA 19 and played it early but constantly had lag in my games, so i decided to factory reset my XBOX One and i didn't play my XBOX for around 3 days.

When i did eventually go back on i redownloaded FIFA 19 and the lag was completely gone, to my relief! But then this start happening....

I would be in the middle of a game or just on my XBOX in general and my controller would disconnect and start flashing, once this happens i would lose connection to online on my XBOX and my account would occasionally sign out. This is especially annoying
as it happens randomly, so i might be in a game and i disconnect from online or i might be in party chat in the middle of a conversation and my XBOX disconnects.

In regards to the controller and online, sometimes my controller reconnects straight away and i can reconnect to online or sign back in, however sometimes it takes ages (like 20 minutes plus) to reconnect.

Its so frustrating spending money on my XBOX and games and i'm not even able to play the games i've bought basically! I can't even play anything online because i have no idea if or when it will disconnect.

Further information if it helps:

1. Currently on a WIFI connection - Virgin Media Hub 3

2. I've had the XBOX for around 4 years

3. I have never had this problem before it only started last week

4. Its not my controllers batteries as these are always fully charged

Xbox One Disconnects from internet.

Hi everyone,

When I am playing a game on xbox one, my controller starts to flash and disconnect, and then my xbox disconnects from xbox live. This happens everyday. This is really annoying, my wi fi signal is always 75% and the NAT is open. I ran all the test and everything
was normal. Can someone please help me, Thanks.

Someone please please help.

I don't know if it's my internet or something wrong with my xbox/controller.

however, when I'm playing, my controller will disconnect, the light will flash on my controller and then my xbox will disconnect from xbox live. Then when, eventually, my controller decides to reconnect, I go to network settings are my internet is there
but I have to re enter my WEP key. It's like it forgets my internet.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

 

Hi! have you tried to powercycle your console?

 

I haven't, how do i powercycle it? I've done a factory reset and constantly unplugged everything, then left it and plugged it all back in but no luck

 

Hey there, so to power cycle the console do the following:

Hold Power button down (On Console) for 10 seconds.

Wait a couple of seconds until you hear the console shut off and the light to go off.

Turn on your console.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue, if a hard reset and factory reset has not worked out, it would be good to try out another controller to make sure the current one used is not causing this. If multiple controllers are not working there could be
an issue with the Xbox's hardware.

If the issue persists with multiple controllers, go ahead and
contact support, to explore options with an agent for these devices and get this issue resolved.

Unfortunately i only have one controller so ill see if i can get hold of another and see if that works. If not ill contact support.
