    Xbox one controller FIRMWARE ROLLBACK

I am trying to connect my xbox one controller to my PC (Win 10) via a bluetooth adapter (8Bitdo USB Adapter 2). It is not working for now.

I updated the software of my adapter to the latest version, and i even tried with some older versions with no positive results. There seems to be, by reading on the internet, compatibility issues with the latest controller software, and the only solution seems to be to do a rollback on the firmware.

I tried to do so by using the microsoft support page and by using the "code" "xboxaccessories:\\firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true", but both of them give me the same result: the xbox accessories app says "The controller is already up to date".

I've already tried the usual procedure of trying with different configurations and pc's (Win 10/11) and reinstalling the app/updating/restarting, the result stays the same. Haven't tried yet to reinstall the controller drivers on windows but i'm not sure it makes sense and i'm afraid of making irreversible damage.

My question is if there is another safe way to install an older version of the firmware on the controller, or if i will have to wait for the developers to make it possible via the app (if it ever happens)/"fix" this version to be compatible (or wait for the third party adapter, if it can without having to change the hardware).

    Thank you in advance

    *controller firmware version: 2.3.2381.0

    *xbox accessories app version: 2209.2209.14005.0

    *8bitdo firmware version: v1.03

    :)

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello Fram_cs, I see that it has an 8Bitdo Controller, If it was an original Xbox controller, the procedure would be the one below.

My Xbox controller has connection issues after the last update

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

But in the case of a third party control, the ideal would be to contact the support of the 8Bitdo

    https://support.8bitdo.com/

Another test you could perform would be to connect your Bluetooth controller to some mobile phone for example and test XCloud to see if it has connectivity issues.

    Xbox one controller FIRMWARE ROLLBACK

    Hey there,

I've been trying the "xboxaccessories://firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true" command but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I've been trying to use my new Xbox Series X/S Wireless Controller for my PC but the controls don't work properly. Device Manager detects the controller when connected through Bluetooth as ""Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device", which results in the controls not properly mapped/working. I've tried practically everything, but can't get anything to work.

I read an earlier Reddit thread suggesting that a recent or the most recent firmware update (which I updated to thru the Xbox Accessories app) kind of prevented the controllers from working with Windows through a Bluetooth connection. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the controller's drivers through Device Manager multiple times using the 'Let me Pick from a list of available drivers on my computer' but it still doesn't work properly.

    Any help would be appreciated!

The only controller reset is to turn off the controller, waiting a minute than turning it on again. Or you can try to rollback your controller firmware to the previous one, but I don't think this is the issue since the controller already had the previous firmware when the issue started.

Xbox series x/s controller vibration not working in games, any fix?

How about you try to rollback the recent firmware update on the controller. That has been known to rectify issues with a latest firmware.

Connect your controller to my console via USB and follow the steps outlined below.
