    Xbox ONE Controller Firmware 4.8.1923.0 Broke My Controller!!!


    XBox ONE Controller (Bluetooth Wireless) Firmware Update 4.8.1923.0 has completely disabled my controllers ability to use my Microsoft XBox namebrand Recharge Battery Pack, and won't even allow me to use batteries either to run the controller wirelessly.
    Now if I plug the controller into a cable (regardless what the cable is plugged into, so long as it give power), the Controller works just fine, but has absolutely ZERO ability to run Wireless. Bluetooth works if plugged in, just not if unplugged. Now I have
    multiple people post about this same issue, and I want to know what to do to fix this, I just bought my 2nd Controller and it's absolutely the FIRMWARE that causes this, and now I cannot exchange the controller again, so I am officially out $59.99 because
    Microsoft/Xbox cannot remove broken firmware from the Windows 10 XBox Accessories App.

    Is there a FIX for this or NOT Microsoft, because this is really REALLY BAD!

    I would check your firmware version because the version I have is a lot higher than the one you have, 4.8.1923.0.. Update
    XBox one controller     with the uSB method.

    It works well. The only thing that doesnt work after updating the firmware is the xbox charger. The usb connection is on, but the cable doesnt show up the orange led to charge the battery.

    I tried every way and found with the new controller that i bought the reason.

    new controller: version 3.2 if i remember . Working well

    new controller with new firmware: 4.8

    Not charging anymore.

    I have the same issue with 3 brand new controllers and 3 brand new plug and play batteries. Controllers work just fine with the cable and battery removed, but do not charge when the battery is installed. Ive tried different xbox live accounts and a different
    xbox, still wont charge the battery.

    A new version of controller firmware (4.8.1923.0) is available for certain controller models. Users may be prompted to update the controller automatically when it is connected to the console. You can also go to Settings>Devices &
    streaming> Accessories with the controller connected, then select the ellipsis button to see if a firmware update is available.

    It may be that your controller doesn't require the update, but you can check it manually by going to Settings> as above.
