Xbox One Controller Fake or Genuine

I saw an xbox one controller in a local store that the dealer claims is genuine but I am not sure it has some writings on the package in chinese but the package itself is the same as the genuine green one I see on the microsoft store and many other places
.. I have to say it is just though a bit cheaper than other stores in my country but for me every penny is worth it .

I want to know if there is a way I can Identify a controller being genuine or fake without opening the package .. also if anyone knows if the controller is genuine will I be able to determine if it is the new type that come with the 3.5 mm jack or the old type
without opening the package also

Halo 4 Forerunner Limited Edition Controller (Fake or Genuine?)

Check the top of the controller and there should be a MS holographic sticker and underneath the battery should be the usual sticker saying it's a 360 wireless controller with serial number along with FCC and other logos. There was nothing special about
the controller besides the shell and some LED lights.

I would doubt it is faked really no reason to do it especially since people that really want a cool controller can buy so many aftermarket controller shells and LED lighting kits. Only reason it's on Ebay and Amazon at those prices was it was only bundled
with consoles and some die hard Halo fans wanted them, but didn't want to buy a complete console bundle. Either it was used or the original buyer only needed one controller and sold the other to the store unused.

Not a bad price for a 360 controller though.

Fake XBOX 360 Controller

I ordered XBOX 360 controller for my PC online. I have a suspicion that is fake product.

I had one xbox 360 cotroller ealrier. Comparing to that, the build quality looks cheaper. So I searched internet and found following discrepancies :

1. Seal already broken.

2. Serial No on the box and the inside controller do no match.

3. Didn't come with installation disk.

4. No in-line release.

5. Centre ring of light different from genuine one.

6. Body surface is rough compared to genuine one.

Hologram sticker. The copies hologram has the word 'Microsoft' once, on an illegible background. The genuine (all 3 of my others) have a repeating hologram of the word 'Microsoft' many times on several lines.

-'Microsoft' engraving on top of controller. The genuine looks good and even, the copy has some letters at different thicknesses.

-Silver panel on user side. The fake is a rough surface, dull grey. The genuines are smooth and shiny. (On my fake, this panel was also slightly misalligned)

i would say no,for a start it is to cheap which is always a good way to tell.

the first words in the description is "compatible with" which usually means its a third party fake.

at no point in the listing does it say its an official product which they would do if it was.

i used to repair playstation 3 controllers as a hobby and the ones bought in china/hong kong were always fake copies.

they go to great lengths to make them look genuine but inside they are fake and very badly made.

I got fake drived before, so believe, they can look genuine and even come in genuine looking packaging these days. I had the same problem with original xbox games which is how i found out my drive was fake. Therefore, I purchased an official 320GB from amazon
and now they work fine

Keep in mind there are new advanced controllers out now with ms seil ones coming in march

The new repairable ones from pdp BFG PRO and stealth ultra have hall effects replacable parts and programmable buttons and a built in DAC

Keep in mind these new controllers along with ms seil controllers require an custom adapter not Bluetooth for the new advance polling they use 1000dpi

And no xbox 360 controllers dont use bluetooth you need a xbox wireless connector for pc

Only xbox one s controllers do (the ones with a headphone jack on the bottom ) or the new series s/x controllers with share button and elites 1-2

Well the thing is hall effect controllers are only a recent thing

Hall effects isn't just a simple new part

It's so new no-one knows.if it does what it promises yet but with the replacable parts it will be cheaper to fix

People still swear by the analog sticks vs hall effects.

But the zero. Deadzone will.be a bonus even sony only recently had this addition for ps5

It's that new.

Keep in mind the cost is average 200 bucks for hall effects controllers and the technology hasn't been proven yet so it is a huge risk to users and you need a phone to use it for turtle beach
