Xbox One controller drifting up

To whom it may concern at Microsoft,

I have been having issues for the last few days with my Xbox One controller. There was a slight drifting issue on the left analog stick. Originally I thought it was an issue with the game that I was playing but noticed the problem persisted after I stopped
playing the game. I've been looking in the forums and it appears that I am not the only person with this issue. The drifting has been getting worse and I can no longer use the controller to play any games. How do I get a replacement from MS? I have did the
trouble shooting and that doesn't work. I have tried calling 1800-4my-xbox and they basically told me I was out of money for buying 2 faulty controllers.

Microsoft, I want to be very clear on this matter. I am holding you responsible for selling a faulty controller. In no shape or form should the solution to this issue be "buy a new controller". As I mentioned before, there are many other Xbox One owners
who's controllers are defective for the same reason as mine. It is Microsoft's responsibility to replace these controllers. A less than one year life for a controller that I paid $60 for is not acceptable. I hope Microsoft contacts me soon regarding this
matter. I'm sorry to say that I am very close to returning my Xbox One but I am willing to give you the opportunity to correct this. Please reassure me that I made the correct decision by sticking by Xbox One and that Microsoft knows how to treat their loyal
customers. Somebody please help me real quick........

Xbox One Controller Drifting Up

I have also had this problem, on no less than 3 controllers (one with left analog, two on the right)! Day one edition and 2 replacements. The most recent was purchased about 4 months ago and is no pretty much unplayable on first person shooters, unless you
like looking at the sky a lot. I had a chat with support earlier and they told me a replacement could not be given due to the warranty of my console. I think it is unacceptable that an accessory produced by Microsoft cannot be replaced for free when it clearly
has a severe design flaw at no fault of the customer.

Controllers have a 90day warranty, within this warranty a replacement or repair is free. Outside of the warranty you can still get a repair but you will however need to pay for shipping and the repair of the controller. Usually those costs are near or at
the same price of a new controller and that's why it's just advised to buy a new one.

You could always look for cheaper Third Party Licensed for Xbox controller.

A quick internet search should give you several results.

That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.

Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.

they have turned into apple, they sell inferior cheap tack at a premium price.

I have seen loads and loads of posts about stick drift on a lot of new controllers, not just elite.

Best thing is i have three xbox one s controllers, all with drift on the left thumbstick, seems to be an issue when you click it in repeatedly for running in games it then gets drift very quickly. (mainly drifting up)

I bought a power A controller with two rear buttons and low and behold no drift even after three months of use.

After doing an update on my xbox one wireless controller, which was necessary so that I couldon't use my new headset, the left analogue stick is drifting up which has made it almost impossible to play any games. How can I fix this issue or get a replacement
controller.

Typically when a controller get stick drift the best thing to do is replace the controller.

If it is still under warranty you can sent it in for repair/replacement
