Xbox one controller drifting up

So I bought my xbox one console bundled through gamestop a little before Christmas and as of this post it means that all the accessories and the xbox itself aren't even a year old yet. Despite this in all my games whether they be Arkham Knight or Titanfall
my characters will move forward a bit if I just leave the controller alone and will only stop if I actively try to correct it. Even on the xbox home screen the controller will typically drift up as far as it will go and occasionally try to keep going if I
try to correct it. Where it is at its worse is on Netflix where it won't stop scrolling/drifting upwards. I have tried updating the controller but xbox says its up to date. i have tried fresh batteries. i even tried unplugging the xbox for an hour an still
this keeps on happening. I have tried to order a replacement but apparently these controllers aren't under warranty and right now they are very expensive at $60 dollars a pop which is the price of a brand new game and from what i have read this is a pretty
wide spread problem and even xbox help center seems to say that if your controller drifts it is broken. To me this is unacceptable especially given the price of the controller as well as everything else we have had to buy with the console (increased hard drive
space for example). I will gladly take any advice you have microsoft I have been a big supporter of yours over the years but not big enough to pay 60 dollars for a controller

Not quite understanding what you mean by centerpoint. Is the controller drifting up? For steps on drifting controllers, check out our

Xbox One Controller Troubleshooter. Unfortunately for drifting issues, the controller would need to be repaired or replaced depending on your warranty status.

I have also had this problem, on no less than 3 controllers (one with left analog, two on the right)! Day one edition and 2 replacements. The most recent was purchased about 4 months ago and is no pretty much unplayable on first person shooters, unless you
like looking at the sky a lot. I had a chat with support earlier and they told me a replacement could not be given due to the warranty of my console. I think it is unacceptable that an accessory produced by Microsoft cannot be replaced for free when it clearly
has a severe design flaw at no fault of the customer.

I got 1 day one edition and a second controller bought about 2 months later, both with the same problem. The left stick stuck and acting alone. Your character in the game move forward non stop, you cannot select a Netflix movie, all games screw up.

I called Microsoft and they say is not a issue, get another controller...

I don't believe them, this is problem.
