Xbox one controller drifting left

Owned a Xbox one for 3 months and I am on my second controller due to it drifting left , can someone from support advise as I cannot justify spending ,£30 plus on new controllers that are not lasting . I am 42 years old and just want to play a bit of FIFA
without this *** . I have not had a PlayStation since the first Xbox came out , but if there is no fix what option do I have but to move back ? Please respond even if it's to say nothing we can do.

Controller drifting left

Hi,

I bought my son an Xbox one S for Christmas and set it up for him log automatically.

He doesn't play much on it. However to play Minecraft, he required me to be logged in first and I was unable to type my password due to the controller drifting left. I had to do it backward.

An online search revealed to this is a known problem.

Could you please give me a fix or a replacement controller that actually works properly?

Xbox one controller right analogue stick drifting up

My left analog has been drifting since stereo headphone update...

Day one controller also. Devastated. Surely the controller isn't broken?

Typically, the drifting controller issue is due to a faulty controller. Make sure you have fully updated your controller. The only other thing that I can even remotely suggest would be to remove the batteries from the controller completely and not connected
to the console via a USB cable. Once that is done perform a hard reset on the console like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational put
the batteries back in the controller and test. This should reset all internal components but like I said earlier drifting in typically caused by a bad controller.

We have 3 X1 controllers drift forward between me and my son, all left stick drift forward. Pretty sure it's from playing games where sprint is assigned to the left stick. The army camo controller only lasted about a month. Strange thing is, my day one 2013
controller is still fine.

Anyway, I use to get through 360 controllers at a similar rate, only difference was the left sticks drifted left on those.

I have two controllers BOTH with drift issues. The one left thumb-stick drifts upwards and the other one has a right thumb-stick drift issue that drifts upward.

Like what the heck am I suppose to do. #SMH

console connected to surge protector (Isobar), but did try just to wall outlet. Seagate game dive 8TB was attached, detaching made no difference. Did soft reset, controller hard wired. St.ill have drift on Xbox one x but not on day one Xbox one. Used two
new controllers, one Elite and 3 used, all drift on left stick on Xbox one X.
