Xbox one controller drift

I bought my Xbox one on release day and have been having this problem since then. Im on my 4th controller after keep having to replace it. After each replacement i would play happily for a few days but then again same problem my controller either drifts
to the right or left without me even touching it. While playing Fifa or Battlefield my player would just moving to the left or right without the analog physically moving which is very annyoying and makes it impossible to play.

I was very happy on release day with my xbox one and how well microsoft did with their controller. Well after you play with it for like 20 hours or so it will start drifting.I am not very happy with microsoft. I am now considering if i should sell my xbox
one and just buy a PS4 because i dont think it has problems like this.

I am very disgusted with the controller i feel like throwing it at the wall and burning it or something, i am very disappointed.

Microsoft please fix the controller stick drift please!!

Both sticks on my day one controller drift badly. The left stick on my new one drifts. I'm not gonna buy another Microsoft controller. I'll buy third party or switch to playstation. Tired of the nickle and dime crap!

 

Controller analogue drift

my right analogue stick behaves like its being pushed up slightly all the time. luckily i have a second one but its totally unusable. Anyone else have this?

 

Yep, happening to me and LOADS of other users too. Seems to happen a lot with Fifa users. You'd think they'd have tested this in their 100 million pound project and got some users, but instead we're left going to shops and swapping them every week.

I spoke to customer support 4 times and they were useless, the only option they offer is to send it to them for a replacement, but it costs £10.20 to ship it there, on top of the £45 you pay to buy it. DISGUSTING.

I've been buying new ones and then taking the old ones back to the store for refunds/exchanges but doing it twice a month is becoming tiresome.

SORT IT OUT MICROSOFT, everyone is considering PS4's now and there's no way I'd recommend an Xbox One after this crap. x

 

Same issue here, there has to be something Microsoft can do.

 

I have the same problem. The left stick on mine is drifting up which makes menu navigation hard. Also it's very annoying in a lot of games.

 

I don't think Xbox, Microsoft or 90 percent of their support team gives a crap about your gaming experience, hard earned money invested into this console and previous consoles. I've received conflicting info from @xboxsupport via Twitter & all other support
channels.

I honestly, will not buy another Xbox, ever. I returned 4 xboxd 360 because they red ringed, then had a 4th red ring and magically they didn't have my 3 other instances. So, bought a new xbox. Now them not recognizing their own faulty equipment... I'm good.
I can suck down the fact I paid 500 dollars to play 1st day Madden, COD... then less than a year later the price drops to 400, but... u want me to pay shipping on a controller (suffering a known issue)? I'm good.

I am sincerely sorry to hear about the controller drifting issues. I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Make sure that your controller has fresh batteries and that your controller is updated.
  
• Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues.

If the issue continues to occur, you may need to have your controller replaced. You can set up a controller replacement through our Xbox Online Service Center or from our Contact
Us page.

1. Is a fully charged Lithium pack considered fresh batteries?

2. Can you confirm the lastest controller firmware (as of 05-11-2014) is: v1.1.2228.0?

The problem is poor design and low quality controller

Its not resolved by hard resets or changing batteries

this sums it all up

 

hi guys i had a xbox one for 3 wks now and nuffin but problems first connecting live now controllers

4 pads in 3 wks is a joke support is a joke no help a tall then the only way you can take matter further is by writing a letter get a xxxxing grip mirscosoft how big are u then ur custombers have to write a letter cant eamil and call JOKE well joke back

Mister Quimby, I am having the same drifting problem on my controller that I've had for about 10mos and out of the RIDICULOUSLY SHORT 3mos. warranty. What decent product and company won't provide 1yr?!?

I tried the troubleshooting steps above and they did not correct the drift.

Judging by claims of all these XBox One supporters, it seems Microsoft should do something significant to correct the problem and return the support as it's CLEARLY a design/manufacturing FLAW. I am EXTREMELY hesitant to buy another controller as I now
expect that to break in 6-12mos and buying a new controller 1-2X/yr is simply unacceptable. I switched from PS3 to XBox One and judging by the quality experienced so far, I am now expecting the XBox One to DIE right after the 12mos warranty, which will prompt
me to go to PS4, so I don't see the point in supporting Microsoft with another controller or game purchases.

Besides your 'troubleshooting tips', which don't seem to work for ANYONE on this forum, what can you do for us?!?!?
