Xbox one controller doesn't start up

I just started having this problem with one of my controllers. The right stick started drifting up while playing Destiny. I'm hoping that my other controller doesn't start having a problem also. I never mistreat my controllers. Has anyone had any success
getting an RMA for this issue? I never had this problem with my xBox 360 controllers.

see the thing isn't really the cable it is that the xbox doesn't seem to fully start up. it turns on, but it doesn't even kick on my kinect or connect to my controler?

If you are still unable to power the console on after trying the steps then it may need to be repaired. You can set up a repair via
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com. Once the repair request has been set up and you've received your shipping label you can pack up the console. Be sure to only pack what
needs to be repaired as Xbox does not guarantee that extra items such as cables or controllers will be returned.

I understand you need assistance with your Xbox One S, please follow the steps below to try to fix the issue;

-Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection then power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

-Wait 30 seconds.

-Plug the power cord back in.

-Press and hold the BIND button (the one used to sync controllers) and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox Power button on the console.

-Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds and listen for two power-up tones a couple of seconds apart.

NOTE: The BIND button of the Xbox One S is located below the power button,

-Once you hear the 2nd tone please release the button.

-If this is successful the Xbox will turn on and should start and show the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. On the Troubleshooter page, please select Reset this Xbox and then choose "Keep games and apps".

If you can't bring up the Troubleshooter page after several attempts, I'm afraid you need to consider sending in your device to have it repaired/replaced. Unfortunately, Microsoft is no longer servicing Xbox One consoles, so I recommend looking for the nearest local service center or game shop in your area to see if they can repair/replace it for you.
