    Xbox One Controller Doesn't Connect via Bluetooth to Windows 10 PC


    I have been using my Xbox One controller for gaming on my PC via Bluetooth, however now (post-update) it appears at first just "Input" then after a few seconds it says Xbox Wireless Controller. I click to connect and it says connecting but it eventually
    says "Couldn't Connect Please Try Again". I've tried over and over but it just says the same thing every time.

    • I tried connecting via USB and the Xbox Accessories App, and it works fine.
    • I updated the firmware for the controller via the Xbox Accessories, still didn't help with the Bluetooth issue.
    • I tried viewing hidden devices in the device manager, and it shows Xbox Peripherals, and under that, there is Xbox One Controller but its greyed out and only is active when I use the USB to connect to the computer.
    • I tried uninstalling the Xbox One Controller Driver, which didn't fix the problem.
    • I tried connecting via Bluetooth to my pc laptop (that hasn't run the most recent Windows Update) and it works fine. So the problem is not the controller.
    I could just use it via USB but I didn't pay his much for a Bluetooth controller to use it as a wired controller.

    As Geth mentioned, Bluetooth connection to a Windows 10 device will work just fine for Xbox One controllers, depending on the model of the controller. Certain older Xbox One controllers do not support Bluetooth connections.

    The Xbox One console doesn't support Bluetooth. That headset won't work with the Xbox One in any way.

    The new Xbox One controllers (the ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth, but that's only used to connect the controller to a Windows 10 PC through Bluetooth.
