Xbox One controller does not work. Need help

Hi,thank you for taking your time to lend some help, my controller is mainly a wireless one but it does support a wired connection too. I tried connecting it to the Xbox using a wire, but still the controller was yet not lighting up(Logo button). I did plug it to my laptop and to my surprise it turned on for a bit but then the light turned off and there was just vibrations occuring while it was plugged and now the light does not turn anymore when it's plugged to the laptop only vibrations.

Thanks for testing. When the controller is connected to the computer, even though the Xbox button light is turned off, the computer still recognizes the device? Can you see it on the Device manager?

Would you please tell me if you are not able to turn on the controller both wired and wireless (if it supports wireless)? Have you tried to connect it to other devices, like a computer or other console?

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately Xbox does not cover 3rd party products. If your controller does not work on the console or PC you would need to contact the manufacturer for help getting it connected.

The Xbox One S controller does not need an adaptor and any headset that has a 3.5mm cable should work. Although I would always choose a headset that is ‘for Xbox’ as it rules out any issues with compatibility.
