timetrex, this is interesting. The xb1 controllers operate at 5ghz. Setting your channel bandwidth to 40hz is funny because while it would theoretically give you more throughput, it often causes channel overlap (giving you less reliability).

We are having similar issues with our controllers. Once the batteries die or get low and we remove them to replace them with fresh batteries, the console will no longer register the controller, but it's clearly connected still. Before, the only way to reconnect
it was by hard resetting the console itself, but this more recent time, not even that worked. The only way to get it to connect was via USB cable and leaving it plugged it. We even tried resyncing the controller to the console, but it didn't work.

We've also been experiencing issues with the disc drive itself. It had trouble reading certain games, and you have to constantly remove and replace the game until it decides to read it, but then other games it'll read without trouble. Please help with any
solutions or suggestions.

My disconnections have stopped.

I have the asus n66u router (dark Knight)

I have turned the 2.4ghz band off

The xbox one sits in a small closet, connects on the 5ghz band

Probably 7 feet away from the router.

The settings on the router, I have channel bandwith set to 40mhz and the check box ticked to optimized for the xbox.

auto extension is also set to auto.

Hope this helps, I have had the issue from day 1, still using the same controller, day 1 edition only with no issues now.

I want help to prevent this how can u say its fair to be in a game and then i am forced to hard reset leaving my session and loosing any data that i aint daved yet because i expect my btand new console to not act in this way.

Ok well yes i have tried all these things and the only one that works is turning the console off i did say in my first message. It turns on when i replace da batterys but just dny let me do anythinh so i have to end my sessions by hard reseting my xbox.
