Xbox One controller disconnects when headset/and adapter plug in

Been using the Polk 4 Shot headset now for 3 weeks and not only getting the random disconnect issue, but the Mic gain is pathetic as well.

Can't say anything on the Polk forums without their fanboys going to town on you, MS/Xbox say speak to Polk and Polk haven't given any timeline on a fix.

Started having the same problem as soon as the adapter was added. It would reset about once every 45 minutes or so. Experienced that problem every day I used the system.......until today. That's because today I took the adapter off and played for three
hours with no problem. I'm done with it. I'm using iPhone FaceTime voice-only with my team mate for comms. I just plug the 3.5mm adapter cable that came with the adapter into my Turble Beach X41's and the iPhone.

    THE ADAPTER IS THE PROBLEM.

  4. Xbox One controller disconnects when headset/and adapter plug in

Just got off the phone with XBOX ONE support. The tech support woman told me that another system update will come in the next week. One of my controllers with the model X873579-009 with SN ending 46 (disconnects every 7-15 minutes) the other ending is SN
40 doesn't have this issue. Interesting that the Headset Adapter Support page says that there was a new update in April... to then update your controllers and it should be fixed. However, she told me that last controller update was the date the Headset adapter
was released. I then pointed out the notice of the new update in April.. and she told me M$ always ensures the page is updated with reference to the pending/up coming updates. So, I guess by just stating the new update in April means they have all the way
until 4/30 to release the System update that "should" fix the issue with the controller disconnect. She told me to standby and wait for the update and to not use my adapter until then. Well, I have to use my adapter to use my headphones so I don't wake the
    rest of the family. Errrr...

I am also experiencing the controller crashing. I bought the Turtle Beach XO Four for $100 and it is pretty useless. When playing Titanfall the other night it locked up 3 times. Each time I had to pull the battery. By the time I get the controller powered
one I end up getting killed in the match.

I'm assuming that this is not fixed by the latest update. I returned my adapter to the store, but hoped to pick another one up when the issue was fixed. Guess I'll check back after May updste.

I too am getting the headset crash when using adapter. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I've had it happen on both my controllers over the last few nights. Very annoying.

  8. Xbox One controller disconnects when headset/and adapter plug in

Just got mine yesterday, and connected it to my TBX41's after updating the controller. Still getting disconnects every 30min or so. Also, I think it's creating lag/latency. I usually do pretty well on 360 hardcore kill confirmed. Switching to the One, I
was getting *** every match all of the sudden. Never won a gun fight. Never seen that b4, maybe it's that I wasn't used to the different controller.

Hate to bump but this just started going on for me soon as I updated my controller for the 80$ headset.

Nothing seems to be working for me with my headset plugged in. Soon as I unplug it the controller comes & stays on.

New headset with adaptor mic not working

If your Xbox one Controller doesn't work or gets disconnected after you plug in your Stereo Headset Adapter, unplug your adapter,
and then update your controller without the adapter. After the controller is updated, insert your Stereo Headset Adapter back into the controller.

Mic on my headphones is not working

    Hi Warlord,

Thanks for coming to the forums. This means that it is not being recognized being plugged into the controller. When you updated your controller, was the headset plugged in at the same time? If not update it again, with the headset plugged in. There is also
    a
    stereo headset adapter
that may help in this situation.

    Mic settings(were did they go)

    1. I use an adapter with not headset attached.

    2. On the top right corner of my screen where the charge of your controller battery is shown it also shows if you have a headset or not and when I plug in my "Apple headphones" it shows they are a headset.
    GoluckyMonkey97,

    1) So, you are using a "Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter" with your controller, correct...?

    2) And, when you plug your Apple headphones into the adapter/controller, the
    not mic
indicator in the upper right hand corner on the main menu changes to a
headset icon, and you do not get the headset and mic controls in the Settings menu between All settings and Turn off console?

Yes.... That's the way it's suppose to work. I had assumed that you were not using the stereo headset adapter, and that you were plugging your headphones directly into the controller's 3.5-mm jack. But, when the adapter is attached to the controller and
a compatible headset is plugged into the adapter, the Xbox will make the hardware buttons on the adapter as the priority for controlling over all Volume, game/chat Balance and Mute. Therefore, the headset and mic controls will not show up in the Settings menu.

I regret if this is still not working for you and your Apple headphones. But, if you do need to get a new headset, from my personal experience I think the "Xbox
    One Stereo Headset
" are the best buy for the money.
