    Xbox One controller disconnects every time the console is turned off


    My controllers disconnect and will not sync every time I turn the console off. I have gone through all of the usual troubleshooting steps and the problem still persists. I have tried updating my controllers, I have turned off other wireless interference,
    my batteries are not low, and there are no doorways or anything obstructing the console. I can usually regain connection by turning the console on and off repeatedly, the controllers usually sync after repeating this 4 or 5 times. Thanks!

    More controller disconnects after FEB update

    Just wanted to report that instead of a disconnect every week or so now I'm getting several disconnects every day after the February console and controller update. Also when I hold the xbox button it turns the controller off and only shows the turn off console
    option.

    Xbox won't turn off and Phantom controller

    Recently, my Xbox 360 slim will not turn off. Every time that I try to power the console down, it starts back up with a controller in slot one, despite my controller not being turned on. In addition, this phantom controller seems to be rapidly pressing A
    and start. The only way I can keep the console off is to unplug the power cord.

    Controllers wont power on system, if so, then won't sync

    I have the exact same problem.

    I can use the controllers for any length of time once connected but as soon as I turn the console off the controller gets disconnected once I turn the unit back on.

    If I try to turn the unit back on via the controller the LED on the controller simply flashes and the console stays off.

    If I turn the console on manually the controller isn't connected and no amount of re'syncing will fix it.

    The only way for me to reconnect the controller is to do a full system reset and then use the controller to turn on the console.

    Really annoying having to full reset my console every time I want to use it.

    Considering returning the console.

    Wifi Disconnects then Controller

    Even with the wireless now turned off (using ethernet) the controller disconnects randomly and will not re-sync without turning it off and on a few times. As I recall the controller uses wifi direct to connect to the console. Fantastic.

    Had the same problem last night after I turned my controller off it disconnected abount 30 mins in, then with the controller in it seemed like every 15 mins so throughout the last hour every five mins I would move the joystick on the controller and it didnt
    disconnect once, im wondering if its an issue when the cintroller sshuts off or then console goes into standby mode after awhile either way this needs to b fixed

    Does this happen every time the console is turned off, or just some times? Have you tried turning the console off with a controller and by pressing the physical button on the console? How long does it normally take to shut down and then start back up?
