XBOX One controller disconnecting randomly while plugged in wired

Hello there, I have recently bought an Xbox One controller for my Windows 11 laptop to play Battlefield 2042 and Halo: Infinite on and all of a sudden I noticed that while playing with a wire (USB to MicroUSB wire) the controller randomly disconnects and the only way to get it back working is to remove the micro USB from the controller and stick it back in again, When I try that it lasts for like 4 mins before it goes haywire again, I tried plugging in a different USB Port but when doing that it also gets busted after 5 mins, Is my controller angry on me? The only way to play for longer than 5 mins with it connected is to squeeze the MicroUSB in the controller and hold it in place and whenever I move the controller even in the slightest it disconnects and goes frenzy again.

Please help me with this as its very annoying when this happens and I have to revive my teammate in battlefield 2042

I tried putting a rubberband before the Micro-USB end then squished the Micro-USB cable into the controller and its "running life" lasted much longer!

also, the USB to micro USB cable is brand new so I don't think it's a problem, I found out it's a problem with the micro USB connector in the controller so ill fix it! Thank you for the support!

It can be a bad connection between the controller and the USB cable...

- Check if the micro USB connector in your controller have any dust or damage

- Change the USB cable

If the issue persist I recommend you take your controller to a trusted technical assistance and check if there's any problem with the controller.

Yes, the USB cable while plugged into the Xbox One controller will force the data to and from the controller to the console over USB, thus making it a wired controller.

This is also evident when unplugging and plugging in the USB, the controller disconnects for a brief period to resync.

your controller shouldn't just disconnect randomly, try plugging the usb into your xbox and into your controller and try updating the controller.

I don't have the exact same problem, but it is somewhat similar. I exchanged one of my xbox 360 wired controllers because it kept disconnecting while still connected. No idea why. So when I got another new controller and plugged it in, no one could hear
me and I couldn't hear anyone while it was plugged in. Unplugging it allowed me to talk, but not be able to play. I need to be able to do both. I was using both a Kinect and an Xbox 360 wired headset. No luck with either while "new" controller was plugged
in. What is going on here? Anyone else ever had this problem? Help please!
