Xbox one controller disconnecting - even after replacement console & controllers

I am now on my 3rd console as my first had a faulty disc drive and kinect, my second developed a constant controller issue that was disconnecting so Microsoft sent me a new console after I done the following;

Bought a new controller, updated new controller, new batteries, play and charge kit, turned off all wireless devices, moved rooms, switched off tv and all appliances !

So here I am with my replacement xbox one (3rd console) and guess what? It still will not stay connected to my controller ! It will connect if I am 12 inches away but further it just won't stay connected, I have to play with a wired connection.

I think the Xbox one console is a terrible product I. Regards to build and design and in my case I have experienced problem after problem!

Anyone know how to resolve this ? Anyone else getting the same issue?

Condition of replacement controllers

I agree I have sent in 6 day one controllers only to be sent out poor quality replacements. The controllers I received had loose joy sticks, loose bumpers, broken triggers, controllers not turning on/disconnecting from console, the list goes on and on, I
now have another controller they sent me that was good and not even a day of moderate use that too is defective. I have a ps4 and am now considering selling my xbox one console for good.

 

Day One Controller Faulty?

This disconnection issue is really rather confusing. Clearly many of you have had this fixed either by firmware, replacement console or controller.

I had a replacement console where my Day One controller still disconnected so that went back - the replacement also had issues with discs.

Now I had a standard controller that I used frequently for 5mths with no disconnections. As mentioned, that too has now experienced a disconnection so I am feeling at a loss now. The only thing that has changed with my setup, is I have the Xbox One Stereo Headset, and the standard controller disconnection occurred when the headset was connected. So there's that, or it could be the recent Preview update.

I also did some googling and found this topic with comments on controller disconnections and Stereo Headset crackling and buzzing which I am in the process of getting the Stereo Headset replaced.

Testing done on the Xbox One controller wireless range using all three battery types: Play N' Charge, AA disposable and AA rechargeable. BONUS: Compared to 360 controller wireless range. : xboxone

According to the comments the buzzing sound can indicate wireless interference, which may also be the issue with the controller disconnections.

Yes, I have a wireless router and cordless phone in the same room. Maybe that is doing something, but it still doesn't explain why the standard controller would suddenly start disconnecting, unless having the headset connected makes it more prone to interference?

Really at a loss. PS4 is fine, Stereo Headset was fine on PS4 with no buzzing noises.
