Xbox One controller disconnecting during gameplay - any fixes?

I've been having an issue where my Xbox One controller keeps disconnecting randomly during gameplay, and it's becoming really frustrating. I've tried changing the batteries and re-syncing the controller, but the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, have you found any effective solutions? I've also tried updating the controller's firmware, yet the disconnects continue. Any advice or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated!

Lindsay, since you've already done all the steps you indicated including the Firmware update, I also have to ask you something, is your console connected directly to the wall outlet or do you use an additional cable, extension cord or power strip?

my xbox one controllers disconnect during titan fall gameplay and nba2k like every 5 mins. so damn annoying

? no this is during gameplay i will be using the controller and it randomly disconnects...

Same exact problem so I thought it was the controller and so I bought a new one and hoping it wouldn't happen again. Sadly I was wrong.. still disconnects me during gameplay and makes that buzzing noise.. I hope they find a fix so or something.. this is
getting frustrating.. i'll be in a battle with a titan and get disconnected and obviously lose cause I'm defenseless...

I haven't had any success other than using a long USB cable. It's a work-around but at least it's an option for now. Still deciding on whether to send mine in for repairs (controllers or the actual xbox one unit). Seems like many other people continued to
have trouble, even after sending theirs in to get the problem fixed.

Just so it's on record (continued disconnects, on two different controllers, during gameplay):

• I've updated my controllers to the latest firmware - as of today's latest firmware

• Re-synced two controllers multiple times

• Replaced batteries with brand new batteries

• Keeping it in line of sight of the Kinect (which is almost a deal-breaker for me is that's the problem)

• Hard rebooting multiple times

• Moving the xbox unit to where there would be no interference

My batteries fit nice and snug inside controllers so I don't believe it's a loose battery issue.
