    Xbox One Controller DeadZone

My normal Xbox Controller I have been using for years suddenly got a drift in the right anolog stick. I took it to my nearest repair shop they replaced the inner workings of the stick. I got it back about a week later and the deadzone
on the stick has decreased like crazy. My guess is it’s at zero percent. Why am I complaining you ask. Well in FPS games shooting someone at long range. I just have to give up. I can’t barely move my stick over to hit anything. It’s a blessing and a curse.
I’ve tried lowering my sensitivity doesn’t help. Any way to configure it back to the 15-20% deadzone that it was before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

  2. Xbox One Controller Problem - Left Analog "DEAD ZONE"

It's not the controller with the left analog sticks deadzone, It's the game itself. Try playing Titanfall and you will not notice the deadzone at all it isn't there. This is an issue with many of the new Next-Gen games for the Xbox One. The only reason they fixed the deadzone on Titanfall was because they need more sales. Different games on the Xbox One have different sized deadzones, COD-Ghosts has a very big deadzone whereas Battlefield 4 has a small deadzone and Titanfall has no deadzone. It's just they way they develop the game around the controller.

Microsoft Says Xbox One S Has the Best Controller Ever Made!

1 Day one Xbox one controller.

    1 Elite controller.

    And no problems.

Bought an Xbox 360 controller mostly every year because of thumbsticks deadzone problems.

So for me,the choice is easy.

  6. Sounds like a Hardware issue to be honest. Repair shop probs used cheap parts to repair the issue.

  7. For a hardware issue, I'd recommend you check out this page for accessory replacement: Console or Kinect Service Order

That page has a web part that should show registered devices to your account if you're signed in. You also have the option to go directly to Device Support to request a service order. Accessories
would be listed under the Console > Accessories for replacement or official repair.

The analog stick might need some silicone grease, since the inside of it gets clogged with powdered like plastic from the controller shell thumbstick hole and thumbsticks grinding each other. But you could have done it yourself without having someone soldering
on new a one for you. Here is a video to show you

Also "Game Controller Tester" is a free app to see your drift, deadzone, testing buttons and motors for the controller. It's for both Xbox One and Windows 10.

    Good Luck with your controller

    Wireless Speed Wheel Warning!

anyone with the speed wheel willing to share settings? I just got a new one and am trying to learn how to tweak the controls. there's no guide on what any of these settings mean. or know any sites that will explain the following settings?

right now I'm kinda happy with speed wheel setting 1 with the following:

with these settings sometimes I totally feel dialed in and other times I'm out of control.

    steering axis deadzone inside: 0

    steering axis deadzone outside: 50

    acceleration axis deadzone inside: 0

    acceleration axis deadzone outside: 50

    deceleration axis deadzone inside: 0

    deceleration axis deadzone outside: 50

    clutch axis deadzone inside: 0

    clutch axis deadzone outside: 50

    handbrake axis deadzone inside: 0

    handbrake axis deadzone outside: 50

    vibration scale: 100

here are the default speed wheel settings which drove me crazy:

    steering axis deadzone inside: 1

    steering axis deadzone outside: 95

    acceleration axis deadzone inside: 15

    acceleration axis deadzone outside: 100

    deceleration axis deadzone inside: 15

    deceleration axis deadzone outside: 95

    clutch axis deadzone inside: 15

    clutch axis deadzone outside: 90

    handbrake axis deadzone inside: 0

    handbrake axis deadzone outside: 100

    vibration scale: 100

    Elite 2 controller

Oh, I see. That's a good question .Controller deadzone is the amount your control stick can move before it's recognized in game. The best way is to adjust the deadzone in your controller.

    Xbox one controller deadzone

Hi Mazamoose7! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

If you have an standard Xbox controller, you can't change the dead zone in the Xbox accessories app, this will have to be changed in the game settings, if the game has the options for it

If you have an elite controller, on the accessories app you can change the response curve of the sticks that will be kind of a deadzone setting
