Xbox one controller cuts out/disconnects

How do you mean Disowned ? 'Pulling for more' ?

I've tried pushing this thread to the Dublin call centre, tweeting and I've also contacted 'Xbox The Official Magazine' so I'm pretty much exhausted all means

Good luck though Disowned I hope you do get a working console but I know you'll be back here frustrating your anger again lol

thanks Saxo, I have that same feeling! fingers crossed they start actually paying attention! can only be so patient and helpful.

 

i cant even sync the controller to the console, even the kinect wont pick it up. I even bought another controller today to try and still it wont sync. the only way they work is if they are wired into the console. This is next gen, i dont want to have to
play a 500 dollar gaming system in 2014 with with wires .

 

I've seen the august update and still they didn't address the controller issue . No words can explain the disgust i have with this company.

 

I too use a 50 ft hdmi cord to my bedroom a floor above the xbox... so i dont have to move the console all the time whne relocating to bed.... in a direct line I am actually closer to the xbox one than I would be sitting on the couch downstairs. This worked
with the 360 and ps3 controllers NO PROBLEM... and it works with the Xbox One for the most part just fine ( i dont recall any disconnections while offline but I may be wrong)... But def when playing multiplayer online in various games. It may just be me but
it seems to happen a bit more in some games than others (fifa 14 all the time) but def happens in all of them... the controller starts blinking, i get a msg in some games saying to reconnect the controller... Most of the time if I tip up the controller to
a vertical position (which is annoying and uncomfortable to play in) it will reconnect straight away... Im not sure if the infared sensor (which i believe needs line of sight) communicates better that way or what... I also thought for a while it was a loose
battery connection because the batteries dont stay in place in the compartment... Ever notice how even after any slight vibration the top battery slips out of the battery socket slgithly... not enough to lose connection but enought to be not flat and almost
completley out of the socket.... I put a tissue in there to give it an extra bumper to keep it in place... but still get the disconnects... Please come up with a solution for this which is a major headache in my life... And now... My controller turns on 1/2
the time and has a solid light like its connected to the console but does not wake up the console so i have to get up and go press the button myself to wake it up... cmon microsoft...

 

ok well I went into EB Games over here and idly mentioned my issues with the disconnects and they have very generously replaced my console AND my controllers for free (including a Titan controller which looks pretty awesome) and so far its working perfectly!

Unfortunately this does not help with the whole 'controller or console' issue but the fact that another console/controller is working perfectly should indicate at least that there is an issue with the hardware.

Hopefully I wont get the issue again but as its working perfectly now then its an issue they need to resolve with the console and not the positioning of the consoles etc....

I will let you know if it continues to perform and if there are any issues etc...

 

I spoke to the shop where I got mine from and they will not replace it for a new one unless his supplier/MS give him a new one.

He wants me to return the whole package (box, controller, console, etc) to return back and if they find it is faulty he will give me a new one from the shop, but I told him I paid premium for the day one so why should I be given a normal £378 green box xbox
and normal controller when I paid £429 for the day one.

Im not happy to send mine back to Microsoft incase I am given a refurbished machine from someone else when I bought this new and it's not even a year old!

 

Ms should say someting about this issu. It very nice that Ms delete my post in another thread that is great support. I hope thar fixed fast. MS PLEASE GIVE A STATMENT IS THIS A SOFTWARE OR A HARDWEAR PROBLEM?

 

Are there any solutions to this issue yet? It seems that after the July update, and controller firmware update, I've started having this issue. The controller will constantly disconnect after 15-20 mins without fail. I've been fine until the last updates.
It's getting ridiculous after a month or so of this issue.

Any solutions yet?

The connection is disconnected every 10-15 seconds. Waiting for the next update or contact the service? It is getting on my nervs.

 

I got a new console via the advanced exchange. While the disconnects seem to be fewer right now, they still exists. It makes me think it's a software issue. please address this microsoft.

ok well its been a while now with the new controllers and console - there is no issue with disconnects yet! there was one disconnect but I put that down to the battery.

Will test some more and let you know! But it could be that this console is not a day one edition (a sacrifice for the working console) - so just out of curiosity - how many of the people with this issue are on day one edition consoles and how many are on
'normal' ones?

 

I was a Day One owner with the disconnection issue. Sent the console in for exchange and haven't had a single disconnect issue since. 8 months and counting!

 

I bought a day one addition from amazon never had a disconnection problem with a controller until August 5th. I purchased a brand new controller the following day and still had the same issue. Pretty annoyed after going through multiple replacements of the
360. I believe its a console problem with the wifi board if it affects old and new controllers. I will be calling xbox later and would like to expedite replacing my one with games I actually want coming out soon.
