Xbox one controller cuts out/disconnects

well fdgg I am hoping that your console remains error free!!

I am sadly on odd shifts for work so cant fully test whether my earlier fix works completely - has anyone else tried that? Im a bit dubious about leaving ports open on my router if its not really fixing the issue (especially after my pen testing course!).

I have not managed to try it on anything but watchdogs, for what I would consider a short period, if someone with a little more time on their hands could test it and see if it works or not and I will test more when I can then we at least have another thing
that we have tested. The more people who test this and other solutions the better!

I just thought I'd Chime in and say I updated my controller and I too am having this issue! But I also did buy a Play and Charge kit so I'm wondering if the Play and Charge kit disconnecting that someone just mentioned might be the thing, haven't given that
a go. I just grabbed some AA's off my desk and I'll take em home and give em a go tonight. However I'm pretty certain there is a direct correlation between the update for the controller and the issue, so I suspect AA batteries will not help.

 

I had disconnections even when my router was switched off, so the router have nothing to do with this issue.

 

This started happening for me a month back, fixed it then its started again....

might look at sorting a usb cable instead of wireless, only thing that seems to keep it going.... After all of this you would think Microsoft would be looking into this.

 

I have just came off the phone to Adam (Xbox Dublin Call Centre) and I requested him to read some of this thread

He agreed that something should be done and he is going to pass this over to his manager to see if it can get pushed...we will wait and see Adam did agree though that this thread 'should' have been replied to buy someone at Xbox and that having a post
count of over 800 it should be flagged.

Im still getting disconnections also, on my 3rd console from MS and given up requesting another replacement as its clearly an issue that needs to be fixed rather than replaced.

Sad to see this is still ongoing, thankfully my PS4 controller never disconnects.

 

ok after further testing, the issue is not resolved. But it does seem to go through patches! may need to get another replacement console and see if I get lucky.

I never had any disconnections last night but I've only plays ghosts for a few games then went back to watching TV so that isn't a very good example.

It HAD to be when the controller is trying to speak to the console or vice versa, there's a glitch somewhere

 

I have read in other forums that one solution might be to set the console in sleep mode. Have you tried it?

 

I have mine set to sleep mode (full off) and i get it every single time I power it on. Maybe it works OK from a fresh boot for 15 mins or so then cuts out all the time, impossible to play with.

 

Saxo - Im not sure what im pulling for more... I really want a console that works perfectly.. but I can imagine the youtube of that being quite amusing.....

However I agree the chances of one coming that remains error free is pretty remote!!

Finger crossed MS actually start looking at this thread! fingers crossed 'Adam' has managed to get this escalated!

 

The only solution I have found is to move close to the console. I now sit about 9 feet away and it is better. Seems like there have to be a line of site and you sitting very close to work.
