xbox one controller chat

Hi the problem I`m having is that when I`m in a party, I can hear the other people fine but they can`t hear me . I bought a new jack socket and changed it but it is still the same. I took a socket from a working controller and swapped them and there was
no difference, the working controller was fine while my controller still had no working mic. Has anyone else had this problem and rectified it. Thanks in advance.

hiya this might be a really [Mod Removed - Profanity] response but this has happened to me and I couldn't figure out why my headset wasn't working. Till I found out that I turned it off at the settings and I felt really [Mod Removed
- Profanity] lol.

if you press the home button go to the settings tab and press audio (depending on what kind of controller and headset you have it should show the audio option) on the top is should say mute mic if I'm correct (I have it in a different language I'm just assuming
it says that) you could've accidentally turned it off like me without realising and knowing.

if not do try to contact the support they could help you out better usually
