    Xbox One Controller buttons not working intermittently


    All the buttons work when first use it, and then all of the buttons do not work, not even the Xbox button on the controller. The controller freezes. To get it working again, I remove the batteries and re-insert them. The controller is up-to-date. The Xbox
    itself is up-to-date also. I've reconnected the controller. Tried the USB, buttons still not working at times. The batteries are brand new in it also. I went on the Xbox support site and for the buttons not working, and it says it needs to be replaced.

    The controller seems to disconnect randomly also. As for the disconnecting, I have tried the above steps also. Still randomly disconnecting.

    I'm just wondering, would I need to replace it, or is there something else I am missing?

    Seems that you already tried al every possible solution, I strongle suggest you to replace the controller.

    Xbox Elite controllers are faulty.

    I have just had the Elite Gears of War 4 Elite controller and had 6 replacements from the Game UK store. This one now has an intermittent working A button?!

    Please go ahead and create a new thread if you haven't already. This way you can receive support specifically tailored to you. Be sure to include the details of the issue as well as any troubleshooting steps that you have tried. In the meantime, I suggest trying
    a few troubleshooting steps:

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Remove the batteries from your controller.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then reinsert the batteries into your controller and plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues to occur.
