Xbox one controller buttons not working in game only on certain game

My Xbox one controller works on every single game I own except for GTA V. As soon as I start the game all buttons on my controller immediately stop working and only the home button works. I am streaming from my xbox one to my windows 10 pc

Hey there EXxon VeNoMZz.

Are you certain you're not accidentally pressing the Xbox button on the controller? The menu button should be working like the start button on an Xbox 360 controller. Do you have a different controller you can test?

Hey there.

Try reinstalling the game. Go to the game tile, click your menu button, then delete the game, then reinstall like it was originally there.

Good day,

Thank you for the promp response. No, it is not via bluetooth. I only play with the controller on a cable into the xbox. I do not play wireless. What is odd, as I explained earlier, my options button is not working at all, and it seems over sensitive when not in a game. It is very annoying as I cant select certain things due to this, and in game I can not access certain functions, as the option button is not working at all. Im on an Xbox Series X with an Elite V2 Controller

I think your normal controller will only work for certain rounds with some needing you to have the big button to buzz in on certain game types to enable you to make your guess. You should be able to get the game and buttons for dirt cheap pre-owned!

Did anyone have an issue with their controllers (Xbox One) being unresponsive?

For example, The A button not working in certain games but would work fine in other games?

Weird. I didn't check this morning. I hope it sorted itself out.

So far it seems to only be for this one title. I only have wireless controllers and don't know anyone with an xbox 360 to try the game on. There was only the one controller activated and not working for the one button, after restarting the system it did
work again, but the next time we tried to repeat it, it didn't work. It seems to be a game of roulette as to which controllers are going to work every time the xbox is turned off.
