    Xbox One Controller Button's Lodged!


    I literally can't play any games on my Xbox One anymore due to my controller(s).

    Surely I'm not the only one suffering from this issue, heres the thing I'm spending 100's of euro every couple of months when I can afford to buy new controllers why? Because the buttons on the pad in particular the (A) and (B) button keeps getting lodged
    into the pad.

    I owned the same controller for 360 the entire life span of that console and had zero issues with it, it never broke it was perfect imo. Now I find myself unable the play any games because when I do the game reacts as though I'm constantly holding down the
    buttons that are lodged somewhat into the pad.

    I hope you all understand the extent of this issue, it might sound ridiculous but its not its driving my crazy.

    Now you are probably saying well you must be dropping your controller all the time or you must be really pressing down hard on the buttons for them to keep getting lodged but the truth is I've never dropped any of the controllers I bought or pressed forcefully
    on the buttons IN FACT I'm extremely cautious not to.

    For Xmas I got ANOTHER new controller and within a few hours same thing happened, the (A) button stuck down in the pad. There goes another 40 euro out the door.

    Please someone tell me I'm not the only one with this issue and if there is any 3rd parties that make controllers for the Xbox One that might help resolve this issue because I'm seriously considering selling my Xbox One for a Playstation over this.

    Ive been on Xbox Live almost for a decade, I'm a massive Xbox supporter but this is a game changer because as I said I'm not longer able to play games.

    headset randomly stopped working after changing batteries in controller

    the chat headset that came with my xbox one just randomly stopped working today when i changed the batteries in my controller. they don't even register as being plugged in and i'm hearing party chat through the tv. also the mute button's LED doesn't light
    up so i'm pretty sure it's not connecting... the thing is i didn't disconnect it to change the batteries... and have sense tried disconnecting and reconnecting and rebooting the system and controller.

    Chat cable tip broken in WIRED controller

    Hey, my chat cable broke, and the tip is lodged inside my controller. I've seen the tutorial for wireless controllers, but I can't exactly take a battery pack out since my controller is wired. Any ideas for getting it out?

    Xbox turns itself on

    Try taking the batteries out of all but one controller and see if it happens. If not repeat this for all the controllers you have until you see it happen again. IF it only happens on one the center button may be damaged or have something lodged underneath
    it where you can't see it.

    Many controller issues can be resolved by putting the controller through a complete power cycle. To power cycle your controller:
    1. Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.
    2. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.

    Before you try other solutions, first inspect your controller to make sure that it's clean, nothing is lodged in the thumbsticks or buttons, and that there's no damage. It is recommend to disconnect your controller before cleaning it.

    More than likely a hardware issue. A piece in the controller way have worn out and is lodged between the trigger.

    Hi there,

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with your controller.

    Go ahead and start by trying to sync up the controller again by tapping the sync button on both your controller and xbox.

    If that doesnt seem to do the trick. Try to do a hard reset of your console by holding your finger on the power button, until the console powers down. Allow a few moments typically a good 30 seconds then start the console back up.

    Alternatively if this controller is still under warranty you may head over to support here at Device support. This is where you may lodge a request for a repair.
