Xbox one controller broken again

If they’re heavily used then stick drift & other issues will be more frequent.

If I get a year out of a controller I'm thrilled.

So much can cause stick drift, dirt, debris, hard use..

You might try cleaning around and on the stick with alcohol wipes, particularly the "ball" section.

So last year my controller started doing this thing where the left stick goes forward by itself but i thought it was just a first time problem that wouldnt happen again. I was wrong it didnt go away and i was not going to take the whole thing apart
as on microsofts side they should probably make better controllers if they break so easily. I replaced the broke one with a new xbox one S controller. About 2 weeks ago the same problem came back and its so annoying that it was only about a year and 3 months
ago that i replaced it. I spent £50 on it aswell and that is a complete joke to spend that money on something and then it breaks after a year and im out of warranty so i cant get a new one for free😒really microsoft something has to be done because i shouldnt
be spending that money on something to break over a small thing and harder to play games. At this point would it be recommended to open it or just BUY another one.

My controller has so many issues it wont let me hear anything from my headset aka a turtle beach headest that cost alot and the controller aint letting it work

The controllers are high quality. There are dozens of variable that could cause issues such as heavy pressing or gripping of certain parts. Wear and tear or accidental or purposeful damage done to the controller. I personally have only replaced 1 controller
that was 4 years old.

The problem is that controllers are subject to varying degrees of wear and tear, some people are heavy handed & chew through controllers, others are nowhere near that and as a result controllers can last many years without issue. The other fact is that
no two gamers are the same, while my controller will be used for maybe 1-2 hours a day the reality is there's a number where it'll be closer to 16hrs a day & as a result be more prone to wear & tear issues.

I note you used pounds as your payment, I know one specialist retailer in the UK actually offers a controller cover where you pay a small fee and they "insure" your controller for up to 2 years - this might be something worth thinking about for the future.
