Xbox one controller broken after update

My Xbox one controller will not turn on after a controller update yesterday I have bought a Xbox one headset adapter for my new gaming headset and now I followed what the update said e.g plug your USB in to controller but now my controller is broken

Looks like broken firmware. I have xbox one controller on win10 too and it's broken after first firwmare update. I see a lot of similar topics in this forum but i don't see any solution or official recomendations. Sad.

 

Controller broken after update

My controller broke after taken the update that microsoft clearly knows about , but does not give a warning before you take the update , i called customer support and they said that my garanty was passed and that the wont replace or fix it and that it was
my own problem. I answerd that this realy makes me think less about them. Give a warning before the update or be a gentleman and fix the problem by repairing or replacing my controller.

I'm sorry to hear about the controller issue. Let's try out some troubleshooting steps below to see if we can get things sorted out.

• Power cycle your Xbox One console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is completely off, unplug the console from the power source and give it a few minutes.
  
• Then, plug all the cords back in and turn the console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console.
  
• Ensure you have fresh batteries or a fully charged battery pack in your Xbox One controller and try powering on your controller.
  
• If your controller still doesn't turn on, next plug a USB cable firmly into your Xbox One controller and to the console and try turning it on.
  

Here are some additional steps to try if the above ones don't seem to do the trick.

• Try different USB cables with your controller to connect to different USB ports on the Xbox One.
  
• Take out any batteries or battery pack and just connect the Xbox One controller via a USB cable on its own.
  
• If available, try this controller and a connected USB cord on a different Xbox One console.

I have the same issue and it sucks because many others like you and I have it, so I made a giant tread so everyone can let their voice be heard at the same place. Simply comment to it to share your complain.
