    XBOX One controller audio lag

Hey, I have been trying to find a way to hook up headsets to the Xbox one controller much like they were hooked up on the Xbox 360. A mic plugin for the controller and then the headphone cord into the TV/speakers.

The audio lag on the controller is just too much. I'm not sure why there aren't more posts about it. I've even seen posts saying that the TV has more delay, which is insane and I would hate to have that TV lol. It's just too strange and sometimes annoying
playing games and the sound falls ever so slightly behind the events that triggered them. I've tried getting a new controller as well as a new headset with no difference in the audio lag.

For games like Rocksmith I can plug the headset into the monitor since I don't need the mic. But, tbh, even then there is slight lag that interferes with my rhythm on high tempo songs (even though I have a 1ms monitor).

I just want to have a hookup just like the Xbox 360 had without having to wear two headsets. Is that possible?

    :)

Covert Controller causes stuttering in both audio/video

Has anyone had an issue with the new controller causing stuttering on audio and video? My xbox just constantly lags in both audio/visual...when the controller is disconnected everything works fine.

    Xbox one S blu-ray audio/video Sync problem

I contacted support & tried all their suggestions including a full system reset. The audio lag is slightly reduced for Blu-ray disc playback, but a small lag still exists on blu-ray.

However the audio lag on DVD discs is much worse. I bought my Xbox One S 3 days ago & support told me to return it for a new one.

I have the Xbox One S Battlefield edition (military green Xbox). I'm curious if you have the same version.

    Xbox 360 series controller

For xbox one controllers and xbox series controllers

by bluetooth if your pc has this (does not support audio passthrough so no headest support via controller).

by wire (this supports audio passthough for headsets via controller)

by purchasing the xbox wireless adapter for pc (this supports audio passthough for headsets via controller)

    Since update, slow cold starts?

I have noticed considerable slowdown from boot time to some games stuttering and the new controller updates seam to cause more and more audio glitches and controller lag than before.

Are any of you able to get audio from it? I plugged my Xbox One stereo headset into my controller but no audio and no way to routing audio to it, is there supposed to be software to control it?

Xbox One S audio output volume control

    Hi ZoltánBalázs2,

That is still not possible because volume control is only specific to the audio output device (speakers). You control volume only through the TV or any external audio device with speakers. The only exception to this would be volume control for headsets that
don't have the volume control built in. In this case if you plug in a headset to the Xbox One controller via the 3.5mm jack, then volume is controlled by a slider found in the Xbox Accessories app when looking at the controller's settings.

In conclusion, the Xbox One console is not responsible for the volume of the audio output as that is handled by the audio output device itself. The Xbox One just processes the audio formats to whatever you have set it to in the Audio output settings and
then the audio travels to your audio output device, which is what has the volume control. Therefore, as far as volume control goes, the Xbox One Media Remote is only able to control the volume on your TV that you have set up with your Xbox One under the TV
& OneGuide settings and then in "Device Control".

As mentioned previously, please refer back to that support article on what the remote is used for.
