Xbox one controller and wifi disconnecting at the same time.

Awesome thanks for keeping me updated! Like I said earlier your suspicions are very fair, but since we have document disconnection issues similar to yours caused from each the Linksys router and the Motorola gateway, I really want to try these steps out.

Hi I have same problem like you,and after calling Xbox support and ATT U-VERSE ISP provider and resetting my Xbox and waiting on phone and waiting for ATT U-verse technicians to check my connection and everything in my house is working fine and good signal
except Xbox one and people from service don't know what to do ,so after talking with people from Xbox one support we decide to send box for service and see what is problem, I take Xbox one to Microsoft store and manager decide to see for himself and plug
my Xbox one and she is working fine but in my house is problem, but I steel decide to send my box for repair because is under warranty steel and i'm steel waiting from service center to let me know what they find but nothing from last 7 days. Please let me
know did you able to fix yours and how? I will post whatever i find out,Thank you.

I bought my xbox one in February of this year. thinking hey, i waited 2 years for the bugs to be fixed right? so my console was great for about 20 days, perhaps before this update everyone is talking about happened. anyway, suddenly my console started disconnecting
from the router, and at the same time my xbox controllers, (both newly bought and one other replacement sent from microsoft) disconnected as well, At the same time!... the time it happened my xbox told me it needed to be sent in for repair, so i sent it in.
only to recieve my xbox scratched, a ding in the side. and with a letter saying "we didnt find anything wrong with your xbox"... so i assumed it was fine. and tried.more trouble troubleshooting (though i was frustrated fed ex or microsoft damaged the cosmetics)
nothing i did worked, so i contacted xbox AGAIN, sent my xbox in for repair AGAIN, only to recieve it back with another letter saying there was nothing wrong with it.... im about done with xbox. i have been a loyal customer since the original xbox. but now
i feel microsoft is just trying to scam people out of their money with replacement parts and accessories that dont fix anything.... please. if anyone has an awnser as.to why my xboxs wifi and BOTH controllers disconnect constantly AT THE SAME TIME.... help

Just an update here. Since the console was past its warranty period, I've held onto it and things have gotten strange / worse. I'm having to run a 30ft ethernet cable just to keep the connection active, and now both of my controllers are acting up even
when plugged in. While they appear to remain connected, the controls will lock up and whatever action I was in the process of will repeat until the controller magically reconnects. This will happen for varying amounts of time and at random. Console is completely
faulty and it's a shame that they want several hundred dollars to fix a day one. Early adopter blues.

Thought i might give you some (sort of) peace in the fact that i have the
exact same issue as you, down to the random simultaneous disconnections of both controller and Xbox live/internet connection, plus the random lock-ups of controller movement and button presses. I really don't have the option of running an ethernet
cable all the way through the house (kids), with out digging up some carpet. or nailing things around door frames.

p.s anyone else having this issue, please don't hesitate to post. The more they see an issue has multiple posters, the more likely the powers that be are to take notice.

p.p.s Router info :

• ISP - BT (UK)
• Model - BT Home Hub 5 (Version A)
• 40Mbit down - 12Mbit up
• Nat = Open
• All settings in my BT home hub are correct (trust me, its part of my actual job)
  
• Everything else in my house works perfectly fine wirelessly

 

I've also got this same issue I even bought another controller as mine is Day One and is now out of warranty. Both disconnect at the same time and then I lose my connection to live for a couple of seconds. This is only recent, there is no problem if I
get them connected via a cable.

I do have trouble turning on the console with a controller though, and sometimes neither will connect even with a cable (they still have power when the batteries are removed but still have problems connecting)

Once connected via cable though, as I say, no issues at all.

Really upsetting as I can't play online unless using a cable.

 

I'm also experiencing the exact same issues, it doesn't matter if I use wired or wireless internet connection or if my controllers are plugged in to the system or not the whole thing just disconnects for a brief moment causing me to get booted from online
play (rage). I have also experienced where the controller just stops working and does whatever it wants until it magically starts working again. Telling me I have to send it away for 6 weeks to get it fixed and it seems people are being told they can't do
anything once it is sent. Probably just gonna trade in this heap of crap and buy a Playstation. Also what happened to the person who was helping with this? Did he die?

 

This is now getting worse, it now makes no difference if the controllers are wired or not, the connection will still fail followed immediately by a dc from xbox live. I'm on the preview program and I know of one friend who has the same issue (also on the
preview program) I can still watch movies and Netflix but gaming is impossible. I have also been looking up getting a PS4 now

(I really don't want to, been on xbox for over 9 years now)

 

This is ridiculous. I have the same problem and have been disconnected 4 times while writing this. Support chat everything else I've tried has not helped at all. I've only found one useless answer for this problem on another thread linking you to the 'Xbox
one controller doesn't maintain connection' page and nothing about the xbox itself disconnecting from wifi. WE DIDN'T PAY $500 TO GET MALFUNCTIONING CONSOLES MICROSOFT! PLEASE HELP US!!
