xbox one controller and kinect does not work

Hi xbox peeps ..,so awhile ago I posted that my controller had stopped working (solution at the time was i replaced the controller) now I have the same problem again and an added issue is my kinect powers on and off and it has gotten so messed up that the
power light just stays on and I've tried every troubleshooting step nothing seems to work, this is my second console from Microsoft as I had returned the faulty unit and was given this one from Microsoft. I'm NOT HAPPY AT ALL ..Someone replaced my faulty console
with a faulty console is what it seems like, now that this console is out of warranty i need a solution going forward, my xbox is well kept and I cannot afford to pay for someone else's mistake.

Controller connects but will not work

My xbox one controller connects to the xbox one (solid white xbox symbol on the controller) but does not work in conjunction with the system. The xbox one does not respond to buttons being pushed or joysticks being used. Very confused by this. Xbox still
responds to voice commands and hand gestures via kinect. Any help is greatly appreciated

 

Unbelievable connection problems with the controller

Hi Light, Does the controller stay turned on or does it switch itself off when trying to connect to your Xbox One? Do you have anything between yourself and your Xbox One that could potentially interfere with the signal between your controller and the console?
Does your Kinect sensor work okay?

Hi there thank you for getting back to me yes it is the official xbox one controller, the problem I am having is that the controller will not stay connected to the xbox (I use the battery pack and it has good 'health') the only way for me to do anything
on my console is through connecting the cable to the controller, even the xbox app for my phone cannot maintain a decent connection without being disconnected, with regards to my kinect I've tried everything and no luck. Yes I have registered my first console
which was replaced by the current one due to problems and I've registered this one as well and it is now out of warranty and I'm stuck with this problem and as I've mentioned in my previous post I cannot pay for someone else's mistake when this console was
sent to me as a new replacement , what is the solution for me going forward..

Controller disconnects can happen for a few different reasons on Xbox One. We recommend running through the steps in that guide to see if they can help out. You may want to pay close attention to the section on wireless interference as well.

Just to clarify, you did try all the steps in the guide we sent earlier for when your

Kinect Sensor does not power on properly?

Yeah I've literally tried everything with the controller ( all the troubleshooting steps, moving the console closer and away from other wireless devices including my router and still no luck) the controller won't stay connected even if i hold it a few inches
away from the console. I cannot use the xbox app for my phone as that too gets dropped from the connection to my console.

As for my kinect I've again tried all the steps that need to be taken in the guide and still no luck, the console does not stay on instant on and the console is not connected to a surge protector plug as I've read it will cause interference to the device
(shorting out the power), the light on the kinect comes on and goes off and after a few minutes just stays on but is unresponsive, i go into setting, kinect, what kinect sees and it's a greyed out screen.

For the issue with your Xbox One console, please try a

soft factory reset of your console selecting the option to keep your games and content to avoid having to download them again. Any changes with this experience after that?

 

I have tried the soft reset but still no luck, neither my controller or kinect stays on... What other options are there?

 

Gotcha. We're afraid if those steps did not help and you had already tried a different Xbox One controller and the same issue occurred, you'll want to explore your service options for your Xbox One console. You can view your warranty
info and setup a repair via these
steps. We're afraid if your console is out of warranty, a service charge will apply.

 

Ok so now that this console is out of warranty I must pay for someone elses mistake?? I do not think that this is fair on Microsoft's part as I cannot pay for something I did not break! I will never again purchase an xbox one or
recommend anyone buy one , as Microsoft sells you defective products only to replace it with another defective one, which is meant to last until the warranty expires! Microsoft has done an unfair and an unjust thing and I am NOT happy or pleased!
