    Xbox one controller and headset not having audio input


    So my monitor doesnt have its own speaker so i use the headset jack in my controller to hear sounds from the game then all of a sudden when i was about to do a game session i suddenly couldnt hear any sound coming from the menu and the game. But the strange thing is I can hear my friends speak through discord whenever i join a party. Even when i leave the party still no sound output. Tried doing different controllers and different headsets, still the same result. Also tried doing the alternate MAC address reset. But when i transfer to my TV the external audio output has no problem. Please help im stuck here.

    Actually, that is not correct. Skype on Xbox One does indeed support using the Xbox headset for Skype calls. if the headset is plugged into the controller, audio input and output will be routed through the headset. there is no way to manually control
    if the headset vs. Kinect is used, however.

    Does anyone know if the original Microsoft Bluetooth usb adapter will allow me to use my WIRED headset with my controller on pc?

    You should just have to designate your audio input microphone as the headset in audio options

    Bluetooth controllers cannot use headsets in chat, it only works if you use the official wireless adapter plugged into the controller

    Just to clear up any confusion that could be caused due to translations, but are you referring to controllers/gamepad? If you have troubleshooted the issue to the point where you believe the issue is with the input in the controllers, then you will need
    to replace the controllers or purchase an Xbox One Stereo headset adapter.

    If you have tried multiple headsets on your controllers and they connect via 3.5 mm audio then it's very possible the input port on the controller is broken and would need to be replaced or locate an Xbox One stereo headset adapter as mentioned above.

    I recently purchased the Hyper X Cloud 2 headset. This headset comes with an Audio control box that has a USB plug in. However when i plugged it into my Xbox it doesn’t work. I read a couple other questions regarding USB audio inputs and saw mixed
    answers. Is there anything i can do to make this work?
    Headsets with USBs don't work on xbox. If you have a jack with it you should use that instead. (plugs into controller)

    The only way to connect the headset to the Xbox One, is with the audio cable that is supplied with it. Connect the cable to the headset then the controller 3.5 mm jack socket. If your controller does not have the jack socket, then you will need the Microsoft
    headset audio adapter, which you connect to the controller, then connect the headset to the adapter.
