Xbox one controller analogue stick is faulty

My second controller for Xbox one and the analogue stick on the left keeps scrolling through options or makes character wonder. What to do for repair how much or if I buy a new controller will there be improved so you don't get this prob anymore. It has
to be a common problem right?

Analogue stick defect on xbox one controller

The right analogue stick on my xbox one controller is defect. It is stuck so that in a game it always point forward. Very anoying.

Can the controller be repaired so that I have a working right analogue stick?

Xbox one faulty controller (left analogue stick)

I'm on my 4th controller, seriously. I have had my xbox 360 controllers for years, never ever had this much trouble. The left stick breaks off inside, not enough to quit functioning completely, but enough that I can't always run when I want in COD. something
in the left stick breaks off. there is plastic loose in my controllers (I have 2 that have the problem currently)

Typically, when you start having stick drift it means the controller either needs repair or replacement. If it is under warranty you can send it for repair but if not then it is probably most cost effective just to replace it. Good Luck!

 

Same issue on my end with drift on the right stick of my Day One controller. Spent over an hour with chat rep to find out it's pretty much pay them $60 and wait 2-3 weeks, or just replace on my own. Disappointed is an understatement.

 

A button or a port on your wireless controller partially works or doesn’t work at all

If you have another Xbox One Wireless Controller, use it to reproduce what you were trying to do with the original controller.

If you experience the same problem using the second wireless controller, the problem is probably with the app or game you’re using. Consult the troubleshooting information for that app or game.

If you don’t experience the same problem using the second wireless controller, then you should replace your current controller. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center.
