My adapter for my headset is not working

Have you tried updating your Headset Adapter ? To do so, look at this :
support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter.

When you say it's not working, you mean that you can't hear anything ? Have your tried your headset with another device ?

Do you have a xbox headset adapter plugged into your XO controller? That is the only way to get third party headsets working with the Xbox one. It all works (audio and voice) through the xbox one controller not your television. The adapter can be bought
for $24.95 at the Microsoft store.

 

I'm having the same issue. My XO Seven headset isn't working.

I've tried power cycle on the xb1, switched out batteries, the updates on the controller are as up to date.

 

My X1 headset adapter stopped working on 10/27. No mute light and no mic getting to Xbox. The mic works, I can hear it in the headphones, but it's not getting through adapter. I tried updating controllers, but they didn't update.

I went out and bought another X1 headset adapter, controller auto updated, new adapter works fine, old one still doesn't. Too soon for this stuff to brake down. I want warranty or reimbursement to kick in here. Help!

Sorry to hear about the headset adapter issue, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• First, make sure to update your Xbox One controller's software.
  
• Make sure your controller has fresh batteries.
  
• Make sure your headset adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your stereo headset's 3.5mm cable is securely plugged into the headset adapter.
  
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
  
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• If you have already tried your headset in a different device, try plugging your headset and headset adapter into a different controller to see if the issue continues.
  

If you have tried all the listed steps above and are continuing to experience the issue, you may need to have your headset adapter replaced. You can set up a replacement through our Xbox Online Service Center or from
our Contact Us page.
