  1. Xbox One controller acting weird when used wireless on PC

    Hey everyone,

This issue started recently but I haven't been able to get to the bottom of it.

My Xbox One controller (bought earlier this year) had been working fine while connected via USB or wireless. (There were always weird pairing issues in which I would need to re-pair the controller after I plugged it via USB, but whatever.)

Now if I hook it up wirelessly it goes nuts. All the inputs register randomly, I'll press something and nothing will happen, but sometimes I'll press something and a weird input loop will fire up where two buttons will be constantly pressed. ( I checked
in the xbox Accessories app's test tab.) The kicker is that yesterday it got to the point where it zonk'd out when it was plugged in via USB too.

I checked it with my xbox one x and it works absolutely fine, so I'm pretty confused.

I tried uninstalling drivers, reinstalling drivers, updating the controller firmware (it's always been up-to-date,) and even re-installed windows. (Re-installation fixed it so it worked while plugged in via USB again, but no dice on wireless.)

    Any help?

    :)

    Connecting a xbox360 controller to a pc thru xbox360

No that is not possible to connect a controller to your PC through your console. You will need the Xbox 360 wireless USB receiver for windows or buy a pure wired USB xbox 360 controller (microsoft and 3rd party ones available and all will work).

The play and charge USB cable for xbox 360 controllers does not make a wireless controller wired as it only transfers power and not data.

You could buy an xbox one wireless controller that is newer and has bluetooth and connect it to your PC directly as seen on this page: :

You can also use an xbox one wireless controller of any type (with or without bluetooth) with a Micro USB cable on a PC as well. THAT wire does make the xbox one wireless controller act as a wired controller while connected via Micro USB.

    Wireless Controller Buttons Acting Weird

My controller wants to go up and down by itself. In games and in dashboard. I've tried everything and it doesn't fix it. I think a new controller update would be perfect.

    Wireless Controller Buttons Acting Weird

This is a pretty common sign of worn out controllers. I have one that drifts and I have one that the A button only works every once in a while. Both of them have some serious gaming on them and you would be suprised how hard you can be on them during some
    heated game play.

Time to step up to the plate for a new one my friend. Keep the "drifter" as a spare and the one with the hit and miss button can go sleep with the fishes.
